      Anyone get raptured today?

We didn't, so I guess Baby Jeebus doesn't love us enough.

If you live in the western hemisphere or further west, you will have your chance at 6pm local time.

I think it's all just a ploy to get that Blondie song back in the charts (worst bored-out-her-tits rapping EVER)  ;D

According to most Christians, the rapture is the second coming of Jesus Christ.  He is supposed to return to Earth and carry all the believers to Heaven(dead and alive).

Oddly enough, the word rapture never appears in the Bible.

Rapture is based on the idea that when He comes, one will be taken and one will be left.  SOme people will be taken directly to heaven without dying.

I believe in the promise of each sunrise.

Yup.  I have no idea why they used that word.  Because in some usages of the word, it also means a state of ecstasy or bliss (you know, like a long orgasm hehehe)

I believe in the promise of each sunrise.

But that's sort of what they believe it will be like; a spiritual orgasm.
