-
Hi
I have 10 torrent slots but I can't download anything. uTorrent reports
Failure: Bad Ratio:1.0000 (To many Torrents. Your current limit is 3 at the same time. See Rules / To fix limits you could Donate)
What's wrong?

It would appear that there may be a glitch in the system that we need to work out. Should you encounter any further difficulty, please do not hesitate to contact us. I am working on your account with you VIA PM currently to try and resolve the problem. I sincerely hope we can resolve this quickly for you.

Thanks!
I will continue to upload new torrents until a solution is found.

Well, I think the issue is that there is zero download and the ratio calculation which would be a division by zero) doesn't work. He got no share ratio …
Then our downloading rules say the following:
Torrent Limits: Downloading of more than one torrent at a time is limited by the following parameters:
Total uploaded amount is < 5 GB and your ratio is:
< 0.750 = 3 torrents
< 1.000 = 4 torrents1.000 = 5 torrents
Which means he should be able to download 5 torrents having uploaded 4.71 GB and downloaded nothing, but since his share ratio does not exist the limit is wrongly given.
The 10 allowed torrents in the Profile are the number of active torrents, uploading and downloading, while uploading new own torrent's file. At other times that limit is not valid, as well the downloading limit remains in force if lower.
Basically members without download, but upload are a rare race.

I'm not sure of the technical reason as to why it worked, but resetting the passkey then disabling and re-enabling the download rights appears to have corrected the problem. I've never quite seen anything like this before.

Thanks for your patience and help MrMazda.
I joined gt.ru mainly to upload via the convenience of torrent files instead of other methods. I'm new to torrents and did not realize I could download prior to uploading.

Uwe got it correctly + i will add the missing part of this reason.
it depends how you start the torrents. the tracker protection has its limits which i may not disclose. nonetheless, aiweelie accidentally hit them.
it was sufficient to stop all torrents / or close the client + wait some time until site database settles things down. sometimes, if stop signal isn't properly received (for various technical reasons) your account may get blocked by the tracker limit protection for up to 60 minutes of the last torrent announce (if you started more items, the last one's counts). therefore it may appear that it was needed to reset his passkey and dl-rights, but in fact, it had/has no impact on this issue.
if something similar happens again, calm down the users and ask them to stop/close their clients & check their profiles if you can see the desired effect (0/0). if users cannot fix this, after 60 minutes this problem should get gone itself.

Whatever I triggered I assure you wasn't intentional. I did stop all my seeds to gt.ru and waited at least an hour or more before I tried again and posted a help request here, on the chat channel and finally directly to the help desk. MrMazda did reset my stats but even that did not appear to work from my end.
What appeared to have had the most affect was a network outage between my location and gt.ru's servers. I could not load or ping gt.ru for about for a while and it appeared from my end the site was down. I could reach other websites but not gt.ru. Peers were connecting to my re-downloaded torrent etc.. After I was able to reconnect to gt.ru via the web I was able to download. I thought gt.ru had rebooted or something.
It makes sense that my clumsy first attempts to upload a torrent could have triggered an alert of some kind considering I hadn't downloaded anything and I had just signed However, I think it's important to share that I tried on my own at least 8-10 hours to resolve the matter on my own. I read the FAQ, forum, researched and tried downloading torrents from other sites.
All in all once I isolated it as an gt.ru related issue MrMazda was considerate and helpful.
Thank-you.

Yesterday I faced as well two periods with GayTorrent.ru not reachable, so that will have nothing to do with your issue.
There is some maintenance ongoing AFAIK.We know that you didn't do anything on intention

Yes… tom was saying in the chat about the upgrades that were to be done. That is why the site was briefly down for a while there.
