So the couple times I uploaded a new torrent to the site I noticed I seed the file once in its entirity and then more or less my seeding stops there. Once other seeders become available the client seems to prefer them to me. So I was wondering if there was some options I could tweak (I'm using qbittorent) to optimize seeding, thanks in advance for the help.

It sounds like you have a port forwarding issue. Your torrent client is reporting that it is using port 8999 currently. Please make sure that your router forwards both TCP 8999 and UDP 8999 to your computer. This is a critical, but often overlooked step in the process.

I tried opening those ports manually from my router and it looks like the situation already improved. Already shared 20 gigs of my new upload in 1 day.
