There are two ways to seed content. The first is pretty simple. When you are done downloading your torrent, leave it in your torrent client, leave your torrent client running, and your computer turned on and connected to the internet.

The second way to seed torrents is known as the re-seed process. It is explained in our upload guide here.

I'm also having this problem. I've left the torrent client open after downloading and the status says "seeding" but it's not uploading.

Same here,  new to the site, have dowloaded a few torrents, they are left open.  the only time they seed is during downloading. and even then seeding speed is very low around 3kb/s;  when the file finishes downloading the seeding stops.  ive tried looking at preferences in bit torrent, but not sure what i need to change (if anything)

To try and solve the problem of no seeding, i have installed Qbitorrent,  have downloaded 2 torrents fine with no problem.  As they were downloading, they were also uploading at the same time,  but once the downloads finish, uploading stops totally

update to my post above,  the torrents are now seeding.  the old bittorrent programme refuses to seed.  but the new Q one does it.  Strange.

                    You know that, don't you?
