3 cups toasted oat cereal (Cheerios)
      3 cups Rice Chex
      2 cups Wheat Chex
      1/4 cup peanuts
      2 cups pretzel sticks
      2 cups small pretzel twists
      1/4 cup vegetable oil
      1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
      1 teaspoon garlic powder
      1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)

Preheat oven to 250 F.  In a large baking dish (like a roaster) combine cereals, pretzels and peanuts.  In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients with a whisk, pour over cereal.  Stir to coat.

Bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.  Remove from oven, cool to room temperature.  Store in airtight container.

You can, of course, reduce the sodium further by using unsalted pretzels.  This is also good adding 1/2 tsp onion powder.

That is totally awesome, thank you for sharing!

For the vegetarians/vegans among us, worcestershire sauce isn't always veg-friendly, so here's a quick throw-together recipe for your own:

            6 tablespoons water
            6 tablespoons brown rice syrup
1/4 cup tamari (it's a richer kind of soy sauce)
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (regular vinegar will do)
            1 teaspoon barley malt syrup
            1 teaspoon ground ginger
            1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
            1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
            tiny pinch ground cloves
            tiny pinch onion powder

You can just omit the exotic syrups if you want and use maple syrup instead, or if you like you can always use unrefined sugar dissolved in just enough water to make a kind of thick paste.

It's from the Uncheese Cookbook, which is a pretty awesome book. With a few little changes by me.

Basically all you do is either blend this together in a blender, put all the ingredients in a jar and shake the bejeezus out of it, or mix it thoroughly. Store refrigerated. It should keep basically indefinitely refrigerated, but for best taste, use within a month or two.

It is very tasty in snack mix recipes!
