Straight friends?
-
Does anyone else gel more with straight friends? I have my boyfriend, and my best friend is gay, but other than those two I find that I have better relationships with straight people (straight guys in particular). Once friend noticed this recently and told me I'm the minority of gays. I disagreed and now I'm wondering.

I feel uneasy near straight men (i never had ladyfriends) cause of past experiences when i lost str8 friends due to coming out. hope one day i can get over this tho.

The majority of my friends are straight (but not narrow :cool2:). I would say that the dynamic is different from your experience though, because I tend to make friends with couples. That allows me to enjoy both masculine and feminine friendships within the same circles. I couldn't imagine myself being happy in only having gay friends.

I don't mind straight people. I feel comfortable around them.

I do not.
It's very rare for me to befriend a straight guy.
Even the straight guys I am cool with, there is still something in the back of my mind that tells me no matter how straight he is, if he's cool with me, I still think he's at least bi.

I've been friends with a guy who was only friends with other gay guys and I find that kiiiiinda limiting. Like, I have friends from all backgrounds and I can't be bothered to vet them all and double check sexuality before making sure we can stay friends.

All but one of my male friends are straight. That exception coming out as bisexual.
Let's just say that they are pretty damn toxic to listen to, especially when you need some sort of commonality when it comes to your sexuality. Those friends are the exact opposite.

All my close friends are straight guys.
