What the American internet could eventually look like without net neutrality
-
I hear on the news today that America has voted to ditch net neutrality. Out of curiosity I have been reading articles with the arguments in favor and against.
This was particularly interesting:
Portugal hints at what the American internet could eventually look like without net neutralityIn the article, the author posits that Portugal's tiered "package-" model of internet could become the norm for america.
What are your thoughts? Do you have concerns or no? Do you foresee this as a possibility there? Those who voted in favor of repealing net neutrality seemed to assure that this wouldn;t be a possibility (source)

Net Neutrality is the only way we can ensure fairness.

America has gone shit bat crazy at the moment. Trump is getting rid of anything Obama did. Even the good stuff.
What most Trump supporters don't seem to realize is that when net neutrality laws were made it also came with a big bunch of money to providers to get our out of date systems up to modern standards. Now they don't have the rules but still get to keep the money they get from the government.
