War for the Planet of the Apes
-
"After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind."
Just a bad movie, overall. The apes have human intelligence, but still basically live like tribesmen. Caesar and the apes allied with some humans, but they're mysteriously long gone and haven't learned a thing from them, apparently. There's a message throughout the entire film that the apes are being oppressed, Caesar is a saint, almost like Nelson Mandela or something.

When you said "The apes have human intelligence"… I immediately thought "I can think of a lot of humans with the intelligence of an APE!"
