I'm tired of hiding vids & pics to hard to use places. I'm tired of using incognito on browser. I'm tired of not being able to save ID & pass of sites to browser. I'm tired of all the extra lengths and measures needed to be done just because I have some adult entertainment.

But I can't let that happen that someone, who ever it might be, might see my stuff. I mainly have stuff for seeding to improve ratio.

So I think I'm left with 2 choices:

      Either:

      • Create another user account for file/folder access, utorrent installation, pr0n browser installation, all other apps (converters, editors, etc.), and Veracrypt for encryption of HDD's.

      hmmm. or,

      • Install all needed apps into current user account - but as standalone/portable to HDD's that are already encrypted with Veracrypt.

I kind of like the latter, but such as File Explorer shortcuts would still be visible. But at least utorrent would be safe from prying eyes, along with all data, and I could start to use bookmarks etc. and save ID & pass of sites to browser - with one click on Veracrypt POOOF everything on HDD(s) encrypted!!

Maybe I could do compromises with File Explorer.

Then again with dedicated "pr0n" user account it would be possible to hide from other ppl that there's Veracrypt even installed.

Veracrypt can encrypt also the whole OS - but that's something that I don't need*

So, hmm, hopping between user accounts seems a tad laborious? How do you use your stuff on your computer?

(although the EU recommends encryption of communications & data to all citizens)

Why should you have to justify that. The cable guy came over one time and I had the AEBN gay homepage on my computer while he was doing his job as I was looking at some porn the night before.

The entire time he was there and I couldn't be bothered to change it. I didn't give a fuck. I don't know him. It's not like I have any emotional connection to him. Even then.

It's my house, and I'm allowed to look as porn as an adult.

Unless there are children, and porn is illegal in your country?

Even then I remember I was like 7, I was at my cousins house and we were watching Vivid porn VHS in his parents bedroom lol.

Yeah unless you have kids, or you will go to jail for porn, why are you concerned?

just create a virtual instance of some windows or whatever using one of the many possibility virtual supervisor there are ( I use Vmware products (vmware workstation)  but many other stuff and free stuff also integrated in windows 8-10 with limited functions to create virtual machines) The VM is encrypted if you want to also (meaning the data is actually encrypted, the VM can be a big file or an entire external drive)
concerning encrypting and deny-ability of course " True Crypt" if you dont use VM might be a possibility.(opensource)

About the only other thing that I could suggest would be something similar to what I have setup. If you have another machine, or if you get a little NAS box, you can leave all the adult content stored on the NAS across the network. This ensures that local file browsing will turn up nothing, as all the content would be stored on the NAS itself, rather than your computer locally.

              Still undecided 🙂

              Can't get NAS anytime soon.

And what about traces that could occur?

VeraCrypt has option to treat encrypted partitions/drives/etc as "removable storage" - that improves File Explorer / trash can traces a lot.

In Windows/Explorer one can set not to save tracelinks at all.

Windows Taskbar thumbnails and other file icon/thumbnails do get saved to C:, wipe and bleach along with registry cleaning.

Also stuff get's paged (page/swapfile). One can encrypt it with admin CMD with fsutil command. Set a small pagefile or no swap at all if u can.

VeraCrypt can also encrypt Windows installation drive/partition.Much better than BitLocker 😄 😄

The best decision about PC privacy is not using Windows. How about Debian? The privacy is REALLY customizable and there are so many shell user interfaces to choose from if you insist on having a good working experience.
