I get why there is a reason for gay clubs and bars especially if they aim at cruising and the likes. The same goes for gay saunas and the likes. But for the past years I have noticed a strange trend that seems to try and "gay"ify almost everything. I am still ok with banks, hotels and shops putting a small rainbow flag sticker on their windows although it really starts to smell like a marketing scheme. Where they really went over the top in my opinion is a gay christmas market that started a couple of years ago…I mean...really? What exactly is the point? I never went to a christmas market and felt left out or felt discriminated because of my sexuality. And I most certainly never wandered around one of those, drinking my glühwein and thought to myself "Man...I wish this thing were gayer". What's next? Gay supermarkets? Flea markets? Car washes?

What is your opinion on those events? Are you bothered by them or do you want to have gay everything?

        LMAO @ Gay Christmas Market

That is nuts. I think - slowly - that people are starting to realise that there is much power in having no children.. gay or straight. DINKS (Double Income No Kids) are a HUGE group these days.. some may have kids later on but are DINKS for longer than in the past… that is a lot of disposable income to try and grab - the "Pink Dollar" is a huge thing and - unfortunately - some take it too far

Hey, don't knock the gay car wash until you try it, have you seen that Andrew Christian car wash video? LOL

You hit the nail right on the head with the word "marketing", that's all there is - capturing a market segment, I really doubt all the gay friendly businesses (esp larger corporations) really care that much about gay rights etc, it's about appealing to their target customers. As Dene mentioned above, gay guys generally don't have kids hence they have more disposable income.
