By its very nature, most communication isn't secure. Mail can be opened, phone lines tapped and e-mail hacked. But we usually don't think about it too much.
Most people have very little to hide. And basic security keeps most snoopers at bay. But what if you want to send a totally secure message?
You would need to go the Mission Impossible route. The message would be coded and automatically self-destruct after viewing. That sounds pretty far-fetched.
But, you can do that with digital messages. The aptly named ThisMessageWillSelfDestruct accomplishes the same purpose. You can create a message on the site. The message is strongly encrypted and stored on a secure server.
A Web link is automatically generated. Simply e-mail the link to the recipient. They can view the message once. Then it is destroyed. No copy of the message is retained anywhere. For additional security, you can add password protection.
