Just one torrent not connecting to any seeds - all others are fine. Why?

I downloaded eight torrents from here yesterday, and seven of them worked immediately (or at least when I updated the trackers). One of them is still stuck with 0(6) nearly 24 hours later. I know that's a fairly small number of seeds, but I figured at least one would have connected by now. It's not my ratio, I know that's high enough for me to keep downloading. Is there another possible explanation for why nothing is happening? Should I just wait a bit longer?

Check your options in your torrent downloader
Under connection check your maximum number of connections. If it said 7 change it up to 10 or more
Same with your maximum upload connection
        That might be the problem

Nope, that's definitely not it. I double-checked, but it wouldn't matter now anyway since all of my other torrents have completed downloading. There's just that one torrent left there, making no progress.

            Hi,

I know this is re this torrent, huh!

I'm downloading it right now, and there are THREE seeders, but I don't see you leeching.

I'd suggest you check to see if the port you are using for your uTorrent program is forwarded, by using this web tool:

            http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

Not having your torrent client port forwarding set up (to be forwarded) is often the cause of this issue, as it makes it harder for other computers to see YOUR computer.

You can look at your options in uTorrent to see what port uTorrent is using (or ask me to send you the port address you are using, via private PM, if you can't find it).

            Take care,

Yep, I think that might be it. I'm going to look up how to set up port forwarding for my router (weird, though, because I thought it had already been set up!).

Yes, but you changed your port number about 6 months ago… do you know what your current port number IS?

Apparently I had port forwarding set up correctly except for not having a static IP address. I've done that now and the problem seems to have resolved itself.
