What religion do you belong to?
-
I'm Roman Catholic
-
Born Again Christian
-
None. All religions are man made. If god were real, why would he make people guess which religion is right? Why would he let so many genocides happen due to people arguing over which god to worship and what oddly specific things he wants? Certainly an all powerful god could clear up any confusion and encourage world peace, if he cared.
Shouldn't he have better communication skills? I require more transparency from my fictional deities.
-
I hope someday to live in a world where people embrace the real world and try to make it a safe and happy place. Sadly, I doubt I ever will. :blownose:

I'm personally a spiritual, eclectic pagan.
As for one person's comments on 'Why God doesn't make it clear'… snickers Why would he? We create the divine, as much as it creates us. Even the Christian Bible and the Old Testament which forms the Torah of the Jewish faith acknowledge that there are other deities.
One would also do well to keep in mind ANY Holy Book, of ANY faith, creed or belief, is created, edited and maintained by mortal beings. Do you really think they aren't going to put their own slant on it? snickers in amusement The Christian Bible is a carefully selected, carefully edited collection of Old Testament and New Testament Gospels. Plenty of books were left out of the 'New Testament' and even more were edited to make it fit the viewpoints of the Early Christian Church. That doesn't even take into account the issues of translating a primarily vocal and tonal inflection language into a written form.
The word that is translated in the New Testament as 'Rich Man' could equally have been translated as 'coarse yarn'. Which makes more sense?

You are making my point. He sounds pretty useless. Why waste time believing in and worshiping a useless god? It sounds like a waste of time. The whole thing is nonsense.

to OP : your question is crap, don't you know most people dont have any religion in advanced societies?….
your question should have been : " if you have a religion, then what is yours?" -
to OP : your question is crap,
to gaypraha2: your answer is rude…and crap
I don't think that was necessary. The OP asked "What religion do you belong to?"
If you don't belong to one, then no need to reply or just say you don't.
If the OP wanted to ask the question you suggest I am sure he is old enough to ask it himself, rather than be told he should have asked what you dictate

I belong to a Hindu family but personally consider myself as agnostic.

I am Hindu but believe in secular values and separation of state and religion. Secularism is key to a harmonious and egalitarian society.
