Missed uploaded quota. (and some other questions.)
-
I noticed that a few hours ago my client uploaded several gigabyte of a torrent but the bar was red and it read in the tracker section "Bad ratio: Ratio 0.441 (To(sic) many Torrents.. Your current limit is 4 at the same time. See rules? To fix limits you could donate". I checked just now and it seems that the system has not registered the uploaded quota. What went wrong? How can I fix it?
The torrent I am talking about is https://www.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=e501a4cde9c466355f36a875e560178b0c84c0f1f5746e3a . (BTW. I have finished downloading the parts of its contents that I want, but it still fills a slot of my leeching torrent quota? Why?)
What happened to these torrents? Their bar went red to and it read "unregistered torrent" in the tracker section.

The first torrent you said you only downloaded part of it. It will never show you as seeding, just leeching, as long as you haven't downloaded the entire torrent to 100%. For torrents you only want part of the content, download what you want, seed back as much as you can, then delete them out of your torrent client to keep them from taking up a slot in your downloads.
The other two look like they were deleted. Possibly taken down for DMCA. Not much you can do about that. Sorry, it happens. -
Why are finished partial downloaded torrents still count as downloading when seeded?
Because a seeder can only be someone who got 100% of a torrent's data file list and the torrent protocol knows two types of peers, those who got all (seeder) and others (downloading peers) and as some one who hasn't got all can't be seeder he is put to the others by the tracker.
Yes, the two other torrents have been deleted.
Regarding the not registered upload, sorry, I'm not sure about the details of the tracker software. The only chance to have the statistics updated is to not stop the torrent in the torrent client. as long as the tracker has kept the torrent and "peer" (that's your torrent client's peer id) in the tracking list it will update the statistics with all the delta upload and download since the last successful connection on the next successful connection.
What I don't know is how long it takes until a torrent and peer is dropped from the tracking list and if a tracker connection with refused update resets that counter. However in your case on that torrent, I see that the tracker restarted tracking at zero, so it is too late.

Thank you. But silly of me, I got lost in all your technical jargon. But the conclusion as I understand seems to be that the unregistered upload is missed forever. There is nothing I can do about it?
If so, why? Does it have anything to do with the bar going red and what is written in the tracker section? What can I do to avoid it happening again?

If you see such message from the tracker (to many downloads, or as well time outs), what you can do to have your upload and download tracked is the following:
- Do not stop that torrent and keep the torrent programme (e.g. µTorrent) running. If you stop it's over.
- Stop other downloading torrents from the same tracker, that will free slots to connect to the tracker
- Try to update the tracker for the red torrent after having stopped other 'green' downloaing. There is a minimum time between tracker updates, the function is greyed out if an update was attempted recently, you may need to wait a few minutes. In µTorrent it is on the drop down list on that torrent in the torrent list, the before last item of the drop down list.
