Can you be gay and religgious?

Of course! Just because some people have same-sex attractions, then that suddenly means they can't be religious? Are religions only for straight people?
I try to put it in perspective:
It's arguable that people's sexual attractions/orientation are completely innate - it's not a choice. Then why should a minority group who's sexual orientation is out of their control be forbidden to believe in a god or hold any religious beliefs? -
Yes u can iam Muslim and gay its normal!

I don't think you can
Well I do believe you can, but it depends on what religion we're talking about.
Also you can be gay and spiritual which is way better if you ask me than religious. -
yes

I think many people are getting this wrong. It's as if, religion and LGBT are a completely polarizing subjects.
You know what the fundamental point of religion? To avoid conflicts, to rid the world of chaos. That's basically what the word is derived from. What is the prime teaching of all (as far as I know) religions? To LOVE each other. Put an emphasis on that. So with the easy logic that being religious means to love other people, there's nothing wrong about being gay.
But I know what you're thinking. Don't some religions think being gay is a sin? The answer to that. Nope. It's the people (and their despicable side) who interpret the teaching, who assume it that way. Like the Bible for instance. People are condemning gays because 'it is written in the Bible', when in fact, what the Bible is talking about, is actually about… adultery and free sex. Many times religions are instead being used as tools to justify personal hatred, to condemn others who are different. Whereas, that behavior has actually strayed so far from its primary purpose.
Point is, YES, you CAN be gay and religious. There's nothing wrong with that. Many has been that way, and I consider myself as one (though not as devoted).
Just don't be surprised to hear some so-called 'religious people' calling that it's not. It's clear they don't really understand what they are saying though. Because if they DO understand the teaching of their religions, they would realize that they are doing a sin simply by hating others... -

I know plenty who are religious and gay. You can certainly cling to the traditions you grew up with without actually believing. That's also nice.
