Sam Smith, "In the Lonely Hour"
-
Lately, I'm addicted to his debut album, "In the Lonely Hour". Love all the song with my special fave, "Stay with Me" and "I'm Not the Only One".
I think this is the gayest (I mean in a good way) album I've ever heard, deep lyric meaning, catching beats, and hypnotize mellow. Like many critics compare him to Adele, for me, this album is a gay version of Adele's 21.
…and I want to quote his Grammy acceptance speech. That's the best part of Grammy 2015 ;D.
Sam Smith took home this year’s Grammys for best new artist, best pop vocal album, song of the year and record of the year. He announced that he was having the best night of his entire life.
He was so happy, in fact, that he even thanked his ex-boyfriend in his fourth speech:
“I want to thank the man who this record is about, who I fell in love with last year. Thank you so much for breaking my heart because you got me four Grammys.”
Backstage, he told Brian Mansfield that he’s actually excited to show his gramophones to the man who inspired his melancholic music.
“I’ll be seeing him soon. So I can let him touch the Grammys. Once.”

The Soul Clap remix of Stay With Me & the Armand Van Helden remix of Not The Only One were very much played out by me in 2014 but any time I heard the original version (pick one I can't tell them apart) I wondered who was substituting my caffeeny with super doze valium. Honestly the first time it happened I thought I was having a bad trip until I looked at a friend who must have sensed my panic because he handed me some sneaky pete & said "Sometimes the original isn't better". Two reasons in that sentence alone why he is a true friend!
On topic but spiralling: The Soul Clap remix was the best remix of 2014 but as it wasn't official so it wasn't even nominated for the grammy award that Tiesto won for his remix of All of Me by John Legend who was robbed of winning Hands Down The Single Best Piece of Music of this Century so far when All of Me wasn't even nominated in Best Song or Record.
Screw Kanye, when one of those categories was being announced if I was John Legend I would have casually walked up to the stage, smiled at the camera and sat back down. That song is Ledge!

I'm not an expert on this area but I found some good articles, like from Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_addiction.
And you can follow some of this Sexual Addiction tests, just to make sure. Hope will be useful

Are you trying to imply that because I prefer the remixed versions I may have a sexual addiction? I don't really see the correlation but please let others know. The more people aware of my issue the less chance it's an issue

LOL
I post it in a wrong thread :rotfl: :funny2: :haha:

I got it recently and really like it. I listen to it interspersed with various other songs from my collection and I never look at the titles, but what I've heard is really good. Some of those songs man- they hit close to home.

Apology accepted, oh wait there's no apology in there.

I was fooled into thinking he sang a song called "Safe With Me" which is really cool, but it seems it's from another singer called Sam Smith
As for the real one, I don't like his music, and just like with Adele, I do NOT see how he is popular. I think his songs are weak and boring. I love slow music, but these songs simply weren't made for me. I might like his album if he had some edge on the songs, but it's all the same.

I love Sam Smith. I've actually been on a binge. Shower, car, work. Everywhere but the gym. It's too slow for that. But I'm in love with his voice and his songs do hit close to home. I just don't care much for "Money on my Mind." Everything else though.

say, have you ever had your heart broken? What makes Sam's and Adele's songs extremely relatable and awe-inspiring is that their songs represent the journey of anyone trying to find the love of their life. Their songs are about heartache that beautifully describe their listeners' own pain as well. This is why for so many of us these songs hit close to home
