What game genre you like?
-
Adventure, Survival Horror, Racing, Party… depending on the game actually. Currently I enjoy Dating Sims and visual novels, most notably featuring furries (kemono) ;D
-
I'm really into 3rd person, open-world type of games especially those that aren't too much action-y, but still with a right amount of magic realism packed in it. I love Journey and I hope more people get to play it. I've played FFXII when I was a kid and I can't wait to play (and finish once and for all) the remastered version of it next year! There's also this little MMORPG called Ragnarok Online which became my favorite online game back when I was a teenager. Recently, I've started playing it again but in a private server called RebirthRO. Does anyone know it too by any chance?
-
I love a variety of games; Action, Adventure, Horror, Fantasy, Open World.
I love the Resident Evil games, Kingdom Hearts, Grand theft Auto, The Sims, Fallout. I never really got into online gaming, other than City of Heroes, because I am not very competitive and most other people who play online tend to be.
-
I pretty much only play FPS, though ranging from competitive arena stuff to single player story based FPS. Also like open world games like GTA and also The Witcher, that's about as rpg as I get.
-
I generally love anything with a sense of character progression/improvement. Preferably with characters I can get attached to and good immersion.
Examples:
- Most MMO's
- Final Fantasy games
- TES/Fallout
- Mass Effect 2
-
Adventure games
-
MMORPG, RPG, esp. JRPG or KRPG!
AO anyone? -
I love RPG. My love started with Golden Sun when I was a little kid. Anyone remember?
-
RPG and 2D fight games (KOF, GG, etc)
-
Platformers & Action adventure
My favourite game series are The Legend of Zelda, Katamari Damacy and Super Mario
-
Usually RPGs
-
FPS and open worlds
-
Gameplay's definitely the most important part of a game, but if a game doesn't have good graphics or a decent art-style, then I have trouble liking it I mainly play MOBAs and RPGs
-
Fight and RPG games are my favorites…
-
Simulation games, like the sims and fantasy/adventure games!
-
-
HOPA - Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure
-
I'm a sucker for any kind of decently good rhythm game. Other games that involve music in some form usually hit a sweet spot for me as well.

Deep stories and good world building is a must! Pacing is also very important when talking about general enjoyment I get from playing a game; bad pacing can ruin the whole experience. I like when enemy types, locations, story threads and game mechanics get introduced slowly, bit by bit.
I also dislike open world games; cant think of any open world game that wouldnt benefit from some streamlining, or even completely linear approach.
Graphics seldom matter, but I vastly prefer games with really tight visual design and art direction. Game can be early ps1 level of low poly, 32 bit, text based, I dont care, as long as it has some artistic integrity, nice menus, pleasing color palette, and overall effort put into it. -
Fantasy RPG's are my favourire… it's rare that I play anything else.
When it comes to gameplay/graphics/story, I appreciate different games for different aspects.
Diablo II's story is dumb as a bag of bricks, and the game doesn't look too handsome either; but the gameplay absolutely carries it.
Baldur's Gate is ugly as sin and has convoluted gameplay, but the story is A+.
American McGee's Alice doesn't handle well and the story isn't all that special, but the graphics and worldbuilding make it enjoyable for me.
Then there's Dark Souls, which basically just has it all.Graphics seldom matter, but I vastly prefer games with really tight visual design and art direction. Game can be early ps1 level of low poly, 32 bit, text based, I dont care, as long as it has some artistic integrity, nice menus, pleasing color palette, and overall effort put into it.
100% agreed!
