Views on "Dark Art"

I spotted a recent upload http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=93966 in which the description states it's a collection of… "433 pictures of torture, cannibalism etc. Authors: katharsis.net, Dante, Link, Malex... Warning: also women, but only as tormentors."
I haven't downloaded the collection, but the 4 picture examples didn't look all that graphic, however 2 comments left on the torrent page are basically very negative towards the content and uploader. I found the reaction interesting, just what is considered acceptable or unacceptable in 'erotic' pictures where there are no victims if the basis of the drawings are from the artist's imagination?

I think the post was… somehow related to an extreme BSDM but carried way too far. Now if nobody will download it i think it will send a certain message to the uploader, but i actually don't see much to object to. If it's just art, then even the most deviant of them will have some form of commentary that can be positively spun.

well i did download it and, no disrespect to the up loader, i did not find it particularly arousing… some of the images were well created and interesting to view while others were bordering on juvenile doodling... that being said i was not forced to view it and did so of my volition and formed my opinion at that stage. i did not think it was particularly offensive considering that it was imaginary. i did find the implied genital mutilation off putting but then to each his own. there are a few things on this website that i find unsavoury but it is my choice whether i view them or not and that should be the bottom line. if i am offended by something that poses no real threat to anyone then i will disregard it.
OK! that's me off my soap box.
best wishes

makes sense, I suppose.
