Can u Watch Virtuaguy files w/o Virtuaguy?

I spent six days downloading this torrent:

It's useless to me thus far because the versions of virtuaguy included are no longer usable. I can't follow the instructions that accompany the torrent because you literally cannot run the program; when you try, a window comes up saying to install the latest version. It would seem that the format of the Virtuaguy files has been changed, so the video files for the models that are in this torrent - which are in *.vghd format - can't be viewed in the new software. Also they have gone to great lengths to make it so that you cannot access files unless they are associated in their database with your account name.
So now I have 20 gigabytes of Virtuaguy video files that I can't watch. Is there any way to change the file type of these files (.avi etc…) so that they can be viewed outside of Virtuaguy? Otherwise I just wasted a ton of time and am really disappointed
