Anyone knows whats going on with EricVideos?
Last 2 years they complitely change their type of gay porn from french / european with a lot of fetish in clothes/sneakers, outdoor/basement fucking to something totally undefined recorded on some luxury hotels/apartments, exotic beaches, places in North/South America.. and guys are totally different, also not into the same sports/sneakers/clothes "european fetish" like before. I dont know did they change the owner, producer or whats going on - but this new EricVideos is just not my type anymore. I know they had some money problems before, at the end of every video you could see warning about piracy and how that impacted them and their possibility to produce new videos, in some period they had only one video per month.
Today is totally different, new videos are coming out like every 3-4 days but they are no more the same old EricVideos type of gay porn, its like something you can found on Men.com or some other randome gay site.
Anyone knows what going on with EricVideos?

@medicc Sadly the loss of their defining identity is not limited to EV. Southern Strokes used to be very similar to BareTwinks with a very American feel to it, but now it's obviously all shot in Eastern Europe and exhibiting the same sets and feel as BoyFun. BareTwinks itself has done the same. Young Bastards has gone almost exclusively South American now.
I don't know if it's a pandemic-related shift in the industry, a financial decision, demand driven or just coincidence, but many of the major studios have made a very noticeable change to what they're producing, with much of it becoming formulaic copy/paste scenes. As you say, they're all just churning out new things every few days with little thought to staying "on-brand."

Yeah, it saddens me too.
I'm French and EV was one of the first active French-speaking studio to come across my porn journey. Needless to say I enjoyed it greatly. I loved the atmosphere, the models, the rough and direct sex. The French-speaking aspect appealed the most to me, so I was disappointed when they first introduced foreign models and shot the scenes in English.
And then the shift you're talking about. Too bad. I'll remember this studio fondly, I occasionally check their videos but their heydays are over.
I guess the slot they first occupied, with French-speaking models, was too niche and the French-speaking market was not sufficient to support such production.
There is clearly a problem with French-speaking porn : how is it possible that with so many people, both as potential models and patrons, French-speaking porn production is so modest ?
Some long-standing studios such as CrunchBoy are rubbish. Only Citebeur or Menoboy are going strong. -
