Pictures not visible on the frontpage
-
Hello,
I have just uploaded a new torrent, but the pictures are not visible on the frontpage. Only on the page of the torrent itself. Also beneath the pictures there is a Delete option in red (without going in edit mode). But it doesn't look good:
-
Now I see that my pictures are not approved. But no indication why....
-
This happens when you added a picture after your torrent been posted ...
It will become visible once approve by staff ... -
Ah, ok.. thanks. I don't understand why people are left in the dark. Isn't it very simple to display a message?
-
Also it says: Not approved.
To be approved? -
Yes ... don't do anything unless you want to change,
as I've said it will become visible to the public once approve by the presence of staff ... be patience ... -
@yepyep7891 Yes... When you upload a new picture to an existing torrent, it goes into a module that mods have access to that lets them review the pictures to verify they meet the rule standards, then either approve them (which will make them visible), or delete them.
As long as the pictures are an accurate representation of the contents of the torrent and is of a decent size, you should have no problem getting pictures approved. It's just a matter of time.
-
@yepyep7891 I just pulled up the pic approval module, gave your pictures a quick once over, and since they're all good, approved them all for you. They are now visible to everyone.
-
@MrMazda Thank you very much. I understand the rules. No problem with that.
But is it possible to add a text to make clear why things happen?
It's just not clear right now and it raises questions."Not approved" should be something like: "Awaiting Moderation. Pictures added after the torrent was posted need to be manually approved."
-
@yepyep7891 When you hover your pointer over the uploaded picture, it says
"'This picture is not public visible yet! It needs to be approved by a Moderator first. Once it is approved it will be visible for all users + you get your extra SeedPoints'"So, what you suggest is actually already there.
-
@cinemacapman But then still the text "Not approved" shouldn't be there.
-
@yepyep7891 And I think I hovered my mouse multiple times over the pictures, but I did not see any clarifying text. Can't test it now, of course.
