Don’t Feed Copyright Trolls: Canadian Court Urged to Protect Internet Users

@Rotron Trolls is the perfect word for what these companies do. This is literal legal harassment. They spend a few bucks suing 30 random people expecting this to be covered by the news and that this will lead people to believe they're risking too much by pirating. I think we're way past the time judges start to understand that owning a copyrighted property does not mean you can sue everybody and have them trying to prove they're innocent, you MUST provide criminal evidence.
They always find the most ingenious ideas to try to legitimize their claims such as "no but he's the paybiller, he HAS the duty to prevent MY property from being pirated or else he is an enabler". This is ridiculous, I'm glad to see there are some judges that are more thoughtful about it.

I find their use of the words "billpayer", "duty" and "enabler" sarcastically funny.
