actress Angela Lansbury dead @ 96
-
The star of Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Murder She Wrote (among many others) died in her sleep at 96.
-
One of my favorite actresses during the early 90s. Grew up watching Murder She Wrote. So this is why I've been seeing a lot of Angela Lansbury in my YouTube recommendations.
-
This is debatable but I think she is the better MAME than Lucille Ball
-
I only know Lucille Ball and Rosiland Russell playing Mame/Auntie Mame.
OK, as I thought was probably correct, Angela Lansbury played Mame on Broadway.
-
Saw a revival of Mame with Lansbury and she lit up the stage. The woman won 5 acting Tony Awards over the years with my favorite being Sweeney Todd.

"Murder she wrote" was the most irrational show on television. Most of the times I saw the culprits suddenly break down and admit everything when confronted with some flimsy evidence.
A good lesson that if you're ever accused of a crime, keep your mouth shut.
Angela Lansbury was good though. She was nominated a dozen times for an Emmy award for that show but won zero.
