So many suggestions! I wish I had more people to play board games with…

Anyway, for "everyday people" -- those that don't want to get into something too involved, complicated, or requiring significant strategy -- I'd suggest Cards Against Humanity, Codenames (there's an adult version), Concept, and Telestrations. The vast majority of these are hits with my friends, though Codenames is not a favorite with one of my friends who is extremely simple-minded (the game involves using words to describe as many things as possible and she has trouble relating any two different things to each other, apparently). Hope that helps!

Well, depends what kind of game do you want, if you want a funny type of game I really like Munchkin, and for card games there are cards against humanity and Exploding Kittens. If you want something that is more competitive I would go for Catan, or the classics like Monopoly. And if you want something Cooperative, which I tend to prefer, there are many like Lords of the Rings, Zombicide, Pandemic, Dungeons and Dragons. And one of my recommendations is Pathfinder (the card/board game, not the actual RPG), it's cooperative, but what I like about it is that the game keeps progressing, each game you play you gain level ups and new stuff that progresses to the next game, but this one requires playing many times.

So, it's more up to what type of game you are looking for.

            Tokaido is enjoyable.

My friends and I are addicted to Istanbul: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/148949/istanbul

              and 7 Wonders: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/68448/7-wonders

Both are a ton of fun, have decent levels of complexity, and plenty of replay value.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short.
But shout it at them in German, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

I pay in a board game Cafe and I like Scythe (to less about warring, tho it's inevitable), Splendor (classic but I didn't realize how intense people get at it when there's trash talk, haha), Betrayal on the House on the Hill, DC deck building… Deception games like Avalon, Secret Hitler, Good Cop Bad Cop are fun too.  Istanbul is also a good one.  Appeals to my accumulation greedy side, hehe.

STILL Clue, Trivial Pursuit (because it's a "talking" game), Magic: The Gathering doesn't counts as a board-game, BUT…... Dungeons&Dragons, Call Of Cthulhu, Shadowrun (RPG games)...
