European Countries, Ranked From Worst to First

A bit controversial ranking, specially because it is full of stereotypes which are not typical anymore (at least when it refers to Spain).
What do you think about those European countries they have in their ranking?

You found one of my passions. Although my partner has been to most of these places due to career choices, the below has only my input. So much has been changed because of Covid-19.
One of the easiest (and sometimes more economical) ways to visit a good portion of these is on the high seas and the river cruises.
44. Vatican City: One of our cancelled cruises this year would have gotten us there as an excursion, one of our cousins works there and we were planning to meet up. If it is overcrowded like Jerusalem, no thanks, will likely skip it next time.
43. Russia: We're still scheduled to visit Petropavlovsk during a transpacific cruise this coming April, but that is likely to be cancelled too.
42: Belarus: Have not been there yet.
41. Monaco: Have not been there yet.
40. United Kingdom: Where my partner and most of my in-laws are from. #1 for me, and missing them a lot. Always enjoy each place we go to.
39. Moldova: Have not been there yet.
38. Liechtenstein: Have not been there yet.
37. San Marino: Have not been there yet.
36. North Macedonia: Have not been there yet.
35. Iceland: Just layovers and connecting flights so far, people have a cool clean vibe.
34. Montenegro: This one hurts. We were going to meet up with a cruise employee at her home this year. Wonderful watching her get promoted from buffet greeter sharing a cabin with three others, to working in an officer capacity with a stateroom by herself. She says it helped we sung her praises, but she did all the hard work. Everyone is tall there? Not her.
33. Andorra: Have not been there yet. Thought this was in Star Trek only. Cool!
32. Luxembourg: Have not been there yet.
31. Malta: Have not been there yet.
30. Slovenia: Have not been there yet.
29. Bosnia and Herzegovina: Have not been there yet.
28. Switzerland: Plans postponed.
27. Ukraine: Have not been there yet.
26. Finland: Plans postponed.
25. Bulgaria: Have not been there yet.
24. Norway: Plans postponed.
23. Albania: Have not been there yet.
22. Slovakia: Have not been there yet.
21. Romania: Have not been there yet.
20. Serbia: Have not been there yet.
19. Lithuania: Have not been there yet.
18. Latvia: Have not been there yet.
17. Estonia: Have not been there yet.
16. Czech Republic: Have not been there yet.
15. France: Stunning every time, and always want to go back. Very friendly, and the only time I've found people there to be arrogant is when we're talking about something everyone is passionate about.
14. Ireland: Another grouping of in-laws live there. Life is slow yet kind, but driving on some of the roads are scary AF. Feel a wee bit sad thinking of Ireland at the moment.
13. Belgium: Have not been there yet.
12. Austria: Have not been there yet.
11. Croatia: Have not been there yet.
10. Germany: Have not been there yet.
9. Hungary: Have not been there yet.
8. Italy: Cancellations all over the place. We will try again some day.
7. Sweden: Plans postponed.
6. Netherlands: Beautiful. Always double the amount of days you think you want to be there for.
5. Poland: Have not been there yet. Hope certain things change there.
4. Spain: Gorgeous, sexy, colorful. We keep increasing the number of days we stay there when we go.
3. Greece: Once so far. Want to go again.
2. Portugal: Serene, yet lively and beautiful. Always glad to see this country on the itinerary when it happens.
1. Denmark: Great place and beautiful, but we keep making plans that make us too busy while there.

Always good to have plenty of movies and shows saved to cast/wire to the television when abroad (thanks GayTorrent.ru too!).
But now with Covid-19, there's a distinct lack of mainstream shows and movies at times, and that is going to eat into our media vault.

TBH, each country deserves 2-6 months of properly slowly discovering and enjoying the time there. Short period stays aren't enough!
I really enjoyed the Vatican, but I also picked to visit in the late afternoon/early evening. No crowds, wide vistas of the entire plaza, and no lines to visit inside!
Monaco was…. severely disappointing. I did a day trip there from Nice during a 3 week solo European tour. Was bored out of my mind after visiting the casino.
Lived in the UK for 2 years in South London. Thankfully food wasn't boring because I hung out in the more immigrant heavy neighbourhoods. Weather is pretty miserable in the winter, that's true, but I did find people friendly, despite the stereotype and the fact of making local friends was a difficult task.
Spent a few days in Malta (read: Valletta), it's absolutely gorgeous and lovely. Being a vegetarian, holidaying on an island nation is not without it's difficulties, but that's on me.
Switzerland was too expensive for my liking. Gorgeous and beautiful, but... oh so effing expensive.
Czechia (really only Prague) was great enough for me, despite the large crowds. Must return to explore more (and maybe meet one of the Bel Ami boys?)
France was fantastic. All the museums, art galleries, and the la belle vie elements I could ask for.
Vienna was probably one of the most breathtaking cities. All that old empire grandeur continues to impress.
Germany was great, and at the time, vegetarianism was picking up so lots of choices were available (albeit more expensive). The guys were hella cute, hella adventurous and keen to have some public fun >:D
Italy was worth every penny I saved for a separate 3 week trip. Still not enough time!
Amsterdam is fun, but other cities deserve love too!
Barcelona was too overcrowded but I prefer it over Madrid. Missed out on visiting the Southern coast, must return in the future
Denmark was fantastic. Would for sure visit again. Have a super hot story of my time in Copenhagen.

I agree with you. When you travel for a short period (holidays, business, visit, etc.) everything "looks great". You need a longer period of time to really appreciate a city or a country.

Interesting topic. I've been to every European country except Russia, Belarus and San Marino.
Actually, a single list to rank all of Europe is ridiculous.
Appreciating Eastern Europe requires a vastly different set of priorities and cultural capacities, compared with the rest of the continent.
I have rarely enjoyed Eastern Europe - it was always a something of a chore - but that reflects my limitations: I'm not Christian and Christianity is still extremely important there. I also don't speak any Slavic languages and even after all this time know little about the history.
My "best of Europe" list is really a best of the Mediterranean - my favorite European countries are Malta, Spain, Italy, southern France. The only northern countries I care for are Germany, Schweiz and possibly Norway.

I love it when Denmark, Italy and Portugal ranked high coz it's my tour dream countries, not just a week but months in each country.
