Three questions regarding first time upload
-
Hey,
I'm about to create and upload my first torrent (yay) and I'm a little bit completely paranoid, so they might be a bit silly questions, but I would still appreciate an answer:1. Major paranoia, but how can I protect myself when creating and uploading the torrent? I'm worried about fingerprints and what not because downloading a torrent is one thing, but creating one is a whole different story. (Plus I signed up to the site with a gmail account, I don't know if I should've used a more protected email (if there is such)
2. I have 35 videos I intend to upload. Is it better to divide the torrent to multiple parts or should I send it as a one huge mega torrent (especially considering the first upload reward that I'm not sure if I need to upload a 10GB worth of content or not)
3. After uploading, will it help if I use another computer to seed it from there too, or since it would still be the same user it won't do any difference?
Thanks in advance

1. Use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) - plenty offer free trials. Gmail is fine.
2. If the 35 videos can be a considered a "collection" then that likely could be a good option - but if one of those files are taken down by a DCMA request, the whole torrent will have to go. You don't need XXgb worth of content, but you do need to seed it to completion and preferably keep seeding it for a while to ensure at least others are seeding it as well. You get bonus seed points for simply seeding, they do add up over time.
3. There may not be a huge difference unless the other computer has different/additional bandwidth available to help seed.
Some of your questions made it worthwhile to refresh my memory on some issues (thanks!) - https://phys.org/news/2015-04-bittorrent-digital-fingerprints.html
