Hello GT community. New to this site and I have to say, oh man, it it amazing! Thanks everyone for all the great content.
BUT I do have a few questions:- I want to fix my ratio but I can't seed anything even after each download is finished, the upload speed is always at 0KB/s.
I'm using Transmission, in the settings, the randomized port shows "port is closed", though i manually changed it to 80, and then it says port is open.
I tired other torrent app and it's the same situation—no upload traffic
I am able to seed torrent files downloaded from other sites like the pirate bay.
Does anyone have any insight on this? I'm using a mac. Thanks ahead very much!

I don't know much about this but I do know that Port 80 is typically used for web traffic so I don't know if another application would be able to use it for directing download/upload traffic?
You may need to either:
- forward the port on your router so remote traffic can flow in/out freely
- add an exception for the port on your local firewall
