Using Torrentsafe as a Seedbox may be beneficial
-
This site may be less popular, but it can also be used as a seedbox, and they are giving away one month free for anyone interested.
-
I'll give it a try and let people know what I think. :afr:

Here's a quick look, but I'll post more when I use it for an entire month.
I'll only cover how it works with GT.ru.
The page opens with a box to add an internet address for the torrent/magnet link. GT.ru doesn't use this system. Below this box is the link to add torrent files from your computer. Click that. Now drag and drop your torrent file into that box.
The system works very well, as long as the torrent is well seeded.
It's not good for poorly seeded torrents. In fact, I would say that you need to avoid poorly seeded torrents or you may harm your ratio.

I can see that it might be good for some, I didn't like it.
I also don't like that I have to ask them to cancel my account, rather than having a way for me to do it through the site.
If you live in a place where you can get a seedbox, and can afford it, then that is the very best way to go.

Hey @raphjd,
Just curious, do you run your own seedbox? I've tried to investigate a seedbox in the past to set up you my own Plex server. Would love to hear your experiences.
In the end, I stopped after about 3 months because:
- It was definitely easier to just run it off my own PC for personal torrent use
- I didn't really see the cost as being justified (~$30 / mo)

Seedboxes are good for those who don't have very good internet speeds. Another reason to use a seedbox is not being able to afford a NAS.
I don't like having my computer running torrents or acting as a PLEX server. I want it to have full power when I need it for other things like gaming or running programs.
I currently run a seedbox and NAS. My NAS is used as my PLEX server. I'm slowly moving over to fully using my NAS for everything since I got GigaFast internet. I just need another HDD and a bit of time to transfer files around.
I rent a seedbox, as well as using my NAS as a seedbox. With my old BB, I would never have considered this because my old speeds were quite slow compared to a rented seedbox. Now they are nearly the same, but I don't have "burst" at home.
Be careful though, not all NAS support VPN natively. You'll need a work around of some sort.

Do you remember how much you spent on your NAS and how much storage? I see them go from $300 - $2000 (!).
I hear you on needing to divert your computer. That happens to me a lot when I come across a good torrent, start the download, but I'm about to start a game with friends.
One of my fears with a seedbox is that it's a paid subscription. If you ever stop paying, you immediately lose access to all of the data you've accumulated. That essentially locks you into a forced contract for the rest of your life, and you're susceptible to third-party risk that's out of your control (eg. if they force-close your account). Any thoughts?
I would think an NAS would be safer since you physically control and monitor the device on your own premises, I'm just hesitant on taking the leap to something that would cost as much as a new computer just for personal porn. Do you share any of your media? I can see an NAS being effective if you're sharing media with others.

I have the Terra-Master 541 NAS. It cost about £540. I'm using 10tb drives and they are £300 each. I also upgraded the RAM, from 8gb to 16gb for about £50. It was a lot cheaper to buy it separately and do it myself than to buy it already upgraded. A NAS is a mini-computer, so that's why it costs more than a storage system that really only needs RAM and power.
Seedboxes, like any subscription (except gyms), should continue for the full term, even if you request a cancelation. Say you pay monthly, but you decide to cancel with 15 days left that you paid for, you should be able to keep using it for the remaining 15 days. I currently use Seedbox Solutions for my seedbox.
My husband works in Norway during the week, so he uses it so he doesn't have to pay for Norwegian tv. I have TV, movies, and porn on there. He also uses my Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts, as well.
We have 3 TVs and various other devices that we can view videos on, so a single storage device is so much easier. No carrying around external HDDs to watch a movie upstairs.
