Will you go see A Star Is Born?
-
With Lady Gaga.
-
Saw it a few weeks ago and it was great! The music is spectacular and Gaga was great in it.
-
Saw it at home, really liked it. Even if it's not the kind of romance I look up to, since it's a very very unhealthy relationship those two have.
But it's totally worth seeing it. :cheesy2:

no i dont like romance movies

How about watching all the 5 versions of A Star is Born?
1932, 1937, 1954, 1976 and 2018?
The same story told is very different ways.
The only one I haven't seen is the 1932, also the only one not called A Star Is Born, it's called What Price Hollywood?

Gaga and Bradley Cooper's version is great, it should've won Best Picture, but honestly, had the 1954 version starring Judy Garland not been mutilated after its premiere (7 minutes are still missing. Before the restoration nearly 30 minutes were gone. Only a single copy uncut print of the movie exists, allegedly) the later versions would not exist. It is right at the edge of being a masterpiece in its current state. Think of an older film that's highly regarded today (Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music, Gone with the Wind etc). A Star is Born should have been on that list, and Judy Garland gives one of the single greatest performances captured on film. In my opinion.

I've seen it during the lockdown in 2020 and it's quite good.
To be fair all The Star is Born original and remake have their own merits.
-
@kalayaan I haven't seen the one from the 30s but after watching the Judy Garland one I gave the Streisand version a try...oh god. Terrible.
-
I've only seen the Streisand version, that I can remember.
I might have seen the Garland one, but I don't remember it. Back in my youth, weekend TV was full of BW films.
