Apple hates white people
-
Apple is once again selling their "(PRODUCT) RED" iPhone to end HIV/AIDS.
Here's where the white hatred comes into it. Despite the name of the charity "Global Fund To Fight AIDS" they only fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. Of course, this is hidden in the small print of the ads.
-
Yeah, how crazy is that
-
at least they are helping the society? whats with the hate man.
-
HIV/AIDS is a global issue, not just an African issue.
The charity name isn't honest and the fact that they have to bury the truth in the small print says something.
-
at least they are helping the society? whats with the hate man.
they arent "helping society" they F*** europeans countries by not paying taxes that are needed to support our health insurance system for instance.
-
Galaxy all the way.
Been with Samsung since day one. -
Helping people who are sick is noble and altruistic. It's beyond the pale to criticize the effort because you've determined some lives aren't worth the effort. Yes we have issues with HIV here. We also have many more resources here and aren't being hit nearly as hard as in other areas. Some areas are being hit so hard that it's devastating them. Helping those areas IS a noble cause.
I've bought (RED) knowing full well where my money was going. I looked at the site and it clearly says where the money is going to help HIV victims. My 2nd partner had HIV. Because we are HERE, we were able to address it and medicines kept it in check so that he is able to lead a normal life. People living in many countries in Africa don't have that capability of getting medicines. We both supported (RED) knowing that's where assistance is being directed. Those are the areas that are hit the HARDEST.
-
Massive strawman. I never said that certain lives aren't worth the effort.
I was just pointing out how APPLE named the charity in a dishonest way and buried the details in the small print.
Like I tell leftists, if you have the moral high ground, then why do you need to hide your face? The same applies here.
-
That's hardly a strawman argument. It's very valid. And it's much less of a leap than the one you made when you said "Apple hates white people". C'mon. We can talk about this without stereotyping or implied insults. The comment about me being a "leftist" and taking the "moral high ground" while "hiding my face" is borderline confrontational. That's not necessary. And it's not even accurate. I show more of my face than you do. And if I don't show my full name and full face, it's because I'm new to this site and I'm rightfully cautious about making my image and information public on a site where it seems most (if not all) people are anonymous. Surely you can agree that's reasonable? (I know, I know. Don't call you "Shirley" ). I belong to other forums, and am well known on them. I even had members show up at my partner's funeral (which was incredibly nice of them). Looking at my avatar now, I'm still a bit worried I might be showing too much. We all know that there are people who can fixate and become obsessed on others. It's always good to exercise a little caution.
As for being "leftist". Yeah, I lean towards the left. But I only lean towards the left. I'm not some polar opposite. Few people fall squarely on the far end of the left/right spectrum. Most people are not at the ends of the spectrum, but in the space in between, with some falling almost in the middle. I'm somewhere between the middle and the end of the left spectrum. If you want to label me as a "leftist", that's your prerogative, but it's not very accurate. Saying someone is "left" or "right" breaks everyone down into one of two camps, and people can't be boxed away so neatly into just two categories.
-
WOW, you love to read more into things than are there. Clearly, you are looking for things to get offended by.
The "moral high ground" comment was about APPLE not being completely upfront and honest about what they were doing.
-
Ahhhh. I apologize then. The way it was worded was a little ambiguous and I read it an entirely different way.
-
Concluding that apple hates white people just because they dont mention that their campaign only benefits Africa is also a massive leap of logic.
To talk about strawmen after that is a bit ironic. -
Apple, like many other multinational companies, pays very little in taxes. This means they don't really benefit the west. They then are deceitful in their charity's purpose by labeling it "global".
They want white people to pay for their overpriced crap, while they don't pay taxes, then they want white people to fund their dishonestly named charity that doesn't do anything for white people.
Think of it like this; I have a charity called "All Live Matter" but I only ever give money to support "Black Lives Matter". Would that be honest of me?
-
So, they're dishonest and deceitful (like most brands).
Where does the white hatred come into play here? -
Maybe you should re-read the entire thread.
They prey on whites with a deceitful charity name to fund something whites can't benefit from.
I would go so far as to say that this "global" charity for Africans with HIV/AIDS won't help white Africans.
-
You specifically could go as far as saying many things. A lot of people can.
I still dont see the hatred of white people. -
Ok, let's change it to "love black Africans above all else".
-
They love and hate no one.
They love profitable business and misleading charity for good publicity. As simple as that. -
What they are doing is using deceitful practices aimed at whites to benefit black Africans.
As I said before, it's like a charity called ALL LIVE MATTER, but excludes everyone except BLM.
-
Still not hatred dude.
Your analogy is irrelevant.
