Is bareback videos a culprit for AIDS?
-
If you mean "Are the bareback acts we're seeing happening on camera possibly spreading HIV?" then sure, probably. Some of the more crazy barebacking videos I've seen where it's a recording of a giant bareback sex party probably had some STD sharing happening, but the fact that it was being recorded didn't change that. If it was happening privately with no cameras around the HIV spreading would still happen.
On the other hand if you mean "Are people watching these barebacking videos and then being influenced by them into thinking it's all cool and awesome and no worries to run out and do the same?" then that's just silly. Sure, like with violent films, video games, etc. every once in a blue moon there's going to be that one nutcase with a very low IQ who sees something on film and feels the urge to mimic it in real life, but they're, thankfully, extremely rare, and their stupidity-fueled actions are in no way to blame on the media they consumed.

You are thinking in extreme's.
Porn influences sex in a multitude of ways. Hell I can even say that it has had some influence on the type of people I am atracted to, the way I view my body and the habits I keep to influence what I look like.
I pretty much exclusively watch bareback videos. (To me they are just hotter)
On the occasions that I have slipped up and been stupid in sex. Is it possible that has had effect? Maybe.
Its obviously not the sole or even main reason obviously.

all gay star movie actors they tested for HIV before they make this movies

A few red flags in this discussion…
PREP is not a guaranteed protection...
When taken every day, PrEP has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV infection in people who are at high risk by more than 90%. PrEP is much less effective if it is not taken consistently. PrEP can be even more effective if it is combined with other ways to prevent new HIV infections like condom use, drug abuse treatment, and treatment for people living with HIV to reduce the chance of passing the virus to others.
Someone who has an undetectable viral load can still pass on HIV
Just because you have HIV doesn't mean it is safe to have Bareback with other positive people...
"Re-infection, also called ‘superinfection’, is when you are HIV positive, have unprotected sex with another person with HIV and pick up (or pass on) a different strain of the virus. This can make you sicker faster if the new strain is more aggressive than the strain you already have. If the new strain is resistant to HIV drugs, it may also stop your drugs from working or limit the therapy you take in future.
It is hard to say how common re-infection is. Recent studies suggest it may be more common than previously thought. If you have HIV you will need to find out as much as you can and make your own decision."
You can't blame porn. Blame lack of education.
I always assume if someone wants BB sex that they are HIV positive.
I never have BB sex with anyone apart from my husband, we always play safe with other guys.http://www.tht.org.uk
https://www.aids.gov
http://www.hivaware.org.ukdo you ask the guy to use condom when you perform BJ on him?

Just to point something out… There has yet to be so much as one documented case of HIV transmission where the only sexual contact was oral.... Just sayin'.... This doesn't mean it's impossible for transmission to occur from oral sex, however it is very suggestive that the risk isn't very significant to begin with from oral sex.

foreco,
Thank you for the information it really helped me understand the whole situation better.

I think studios are more careful then they were back then but at this point it would only make a small dent I believe.

its very dengerus

I really do hate questions like these. It's like saying "violent video games are responsible for homicides." It's a bunch of rubbish! Anybody with good common sense cannot blame video games for the actions of others. There is always something far deeper. So, having said that, you can't blame barebacking videos for the cause of H.I.V. and A.I.D.S. it is not logical. I love bareback videos, but I'm not going to make willful attempts to have someone bareback me, or someone else simply because that's what I like to watch. SMH…

It's spelled "dangerous", and no… It's not necessarily dangerous. There are a number of factors to take into account when assessing risk factors, the biggest of which is the person's viral load. It is scientifically proven that an undetectable viral load alone is safer than a condom, so I'd beg to differ on that point.
-
It's spelled "dangerous"
Erm, we don't correct people's spelling. Especially when English may not be their first language and we know what someone means
-
I get where you're coming from cannonmc, but I have just one question….
If nobody points out spelling errors, how can they learn? I really don't mean to sound like a dick, but I can see how it may be perceived as such.

I realize this is something of a dead thread, but it came to mind when I had a discussion last night. A friend of mine essentially said most people are seroconverting because of bareback porn. It shocked me because he is an HIV positive man (who is HIV poz for 20+ years) and a former educator.
Im negative and a former educator, and I call hogwash. I think a goo number of people can separate the fantasy of porn from reality; not just barebacking but the romanticizing (and cleaning up) of a lot of sexual acts that occur.
I think it's an easy red herring to label porn as the cause of rising HIV rates, but the fastest growing populations are younger and minority in the US - so that doesn't seem to match the "porn consumption crowd".
I wish I knew what the lynchpin was - I'd love to reduce the possibility of infection for so many at risk

Poor education / awareness is a more serious culprit. I've heard from a public health sex worker, whom I had a talk with very recently, is that gay teenagers think it's okay to have unprotected sex and actually getting infected with HIV isn't that serious. If you're already infected you don't have to use condoms, inside condoms, dental dams, gloves and the like, and that would be completely fine, and that there would be little to no reason for concern whatsoever, it's just that once you're not seropositive anymore you'll have to use medication. So these teens try to get infected with HIV purposefully. One of these methods is bareback sex, but oral sex and any other activity which causes exchange of bodily fluids also transmit HIV.
In my opinion, that is a horrible thing to do. You'll easily infect unaware sex partners with the virus, and cause grief to them and the people close to them.
Sure enough, trace amounts of HIV and other STD's have a time window before they can be detected, and if you have protected sex in that time window (And you think you're clean) you can infect other sex partners through unprotected sex.
Good sex education can prevent a lot of trouble. And getting tested regularly, too.
This! I live in the Philippines where HIV rate has increased 4800% Yes, that's 4800% due to lack of sex education to the younger generation who are the highest victims of HIV and unintended Pregnancy. What's worse is that our predominant religion which is Roman Catholic, is opposed to sex education and contraceptives in general making HIV awareness to the larger lower class sector virtually nonexistent.
I've watched documentaries about 14 to 16 year old kids in my country being interviewed about the use of condoms and their response is like "What is that?" or "No budget to buy one" even if they can afford to have an online presence with their phones of from net cafes.
Currently, there are like 48000 people under HIV medications but a doctor friend of mine assumes that the actual infected HIV pipz here is at least 4x the number. His 2 year stint at a public hospital had a lot of 20 something guys dying of pneumonia which should be unheard of for a healthy male at that age. At least those who are taking medications have made way to take control of their live but the majority of HIV positive people in the country are unaware of their status which would mean more people infected daily like the case of the 15 year old kid who got infected because he wanted money to play DOTA in exchange of sexual favors.
Though bareback videos might seem the culprit, that would probably be more of a First World thing. Social Media apps like Grindr and ironically Twitter aggravated the situation but sex education is the real culprit in my country. Fortunately non-government organizations and our Department of Health are helping to combat the situation by providing education, testing and free medication to those who actively seek their help, but its like a rising tide over a 1 foot barrier.

HIV/AIDS infection in the Philippines was low but growing.
The incidence of HIV/AIDS in 2015 in the country remained under 0.1% of the total population.

Like many others before me said, barebacking is extremely dangerous, you may think yourselves clean of STD´s, but these deceases have very long time of incubation, and a window in witch they are not detectable. So you may have been tested negative, but still have some STD (hepatitis C, witch no one takes seriously and is even more dangerous than HIV, for example).
People thinking that HIV is the ONLY issue in barebacking is one of the greatest issues, like the belief that if you ejaculate outside the body you don't transmit the decease or believing that tops can´t get infected.
All I said before leads us to one logical conclusion, the big issue is LACK OF KNOWLEDGE witch comes as a result of LACK OF REAL SEXUAL EDUCATION.
Love bareback movies and I suppose that if you are porn model you should get information of quality and know that you have no assurances that you´ll be fine. IT´S A HIGH RISK ACTIVITY AND SO THEY NEED TO BE INFORMED RESPONSIBLY. AND, OF COURSE, NO PROHIBITIONS, WE HAVE FREE WILL WHETHER CENSORS LIKE IT OR NOT.

lots of porn studies going bareback now coz its more profitable for now..corbin fisher is now into bareback unheard of 10years ago

While I do understand where you're coming from, I'm going to have to disagree on this point…. at least in part anyway. Medical science has shown that Hepatitis C is actually a BLOOD-BORNE illness, and unless you're dealing with an open wound to an open wound during sexual intercourse, the risk of transmission of Hepatitis C is actually pretty much nonexistent. Now if you're talking going to the party and participating in the use of drugs administered by a needle, there are still great risks of Hepatitis C.
Now... As for your point about people thinking that the only "big thing" to worry about is HIV, I understand where you're coming from. What I think you might be overlooking on this point though is that by comparison to HIV, any of the other STI/STD's that you can get can be treated and cured. While I cannot dispute that they are still a risk associated with bareback sex, when compared to a life longed chronic condition for which there is no cure, they're not as serious. This of course also assumes that you follow up with regular STI/STD testing regularly, in order to catch anything that you may catch before it has a chance to do some serious damage.
Lastly, on that note, while I do not necessarily agree 100% with your view, I also am an avid believer in a person's right to choose what is right for them. I will respect a person's right to opt not to engage in certain activities as a matter of personal preference, however for me personally, condoms simply do not feel the same and do not provide the same kind of experience for me, especially as a top. So… It's all a matter of how you look at it.

Agreed & it didn't make the porn overall that much better - in the long run.
