Gay for pay strippers
-
What's everyone's thoughts on strippers that are gay for pay? Recently I had the opportunity to visit a strip club and all the dancers walk around the floor offering private dances, this young guy came up to me and started chit chat, as soon as he mentioned the words "my girlfriend", it was almost like an instant turn off for me. Most (or many) guys there are probably gay for pay to make a living, but I'd prefer to not know that, am I in the minority on this or is there anyone in the same boat?

I get what you're saying. When I first started watching gay porn, I was enjoying it and I assumed that every guy in the porn videos I watched were gay. I then discovered the term "gay for pay" and I didn't want to believe it! I researched my favorite actors/their biographies and, to my surprise, all are actually straight. They are only pretending to be gay to please the viewers.
For me, it's kinda hard to get into these actors now that I found out that they're not really gay, even though they're attractive. I can't really masturbate to a video (or in this case, enjoy the strippers) if I know for certain that they are straight because deep down, I know that they probably aren't attracted to the guy(s) they are doing and it's all an act (well.. all porn/stripping is an act, but still). That's why it's best to try not to find out - It was my fault for looking up their background :cry2:

Yeah exactly, most guys on the stage starts out with an erection probably from the porn they watch prior to come out on stage, but majority of them lost their erection in about 2 minutes or less, it was kind of funny really haha

I guess it's weird. I've never been to a strip club ever, though I'd like to try. But at the same time I don't think you can REALLY be happy if you're a stripper. I mean there might be that person who really loves it but I think it's usually kinda sad to do that for a living. But I can imagine some people will think I'm closed minded

I tend to be nonplussed about gay for pay/G4P porn actors because it is all fantasy- I will probably never encounter many porn actors (I've actually met 2 - so yeah, weird), and unless I am interested in having sex with them (which for even ones Im attracted to…yeah, no), this wouldn't be an issue.
This post made me think about strippers a lot. I live in a city that doesn't have male strip clubs, but there are some not too far away, and there's something I like about the attitude of the strip club which is why I go. If a stripper was hitting on me and then said he isn't gay or bi, I'd probably not be interested.
For example there was a club in South Florida (that doesn't exist anymore) which was notorious for having strippers who were G4P - only went one and never again.

I agree with you with regards to porn - though sometimes it's a little disappointing to see limp dicks in the non anal/oral scenes, but I guess it still does the job.
With the strippers, definitely a turn off when being told that they are straight, and I definitely agree with you regarding the attitude in the clubs, even though you know they are faking the friendliness for making money but at least you feel welcomed.
I don't think you are close minded, I think it's more like the guys working there are more "Open Minded" if you like, while it's not a career choice for anyone for sure. The place I went to had (very few) guys that only appeared on stage, and never walked around offering private dances, I'd say they are probably the "in between" types, where they are not happy being there but it gets some of their bills paid I guess.

Sex work (porn, stripping, escorting) is meant to be about fulfilling a fantasy, tbh, and any erosion of that fantasy can be a slap in the face.

I absolutely agree with you. Total turn off. Everyone has to make a living but my thing is are they even sure of themselves cuz 150 includes a blow job.
