      Youtube Video

      5TB of pure sexiness

The Porsche P'9233 is compatible with both Mac and Windows PCs allowing you to save and backup all of your data to this drive. Once backed up, the strong 5mm aluminum casing helps to protect your data should this drive be jostled or dropped.
Enhanced USB 3.0 Data Transfer Speeds
The P'9233's USB 3.0 interface provides speeds up to 5Gb/s allowing you to transfer a 700MB video file in just under 7 seconds. Back up your photos, exchange audio and video files with your friends, or make sure that your important files are kept safe.
      Safe, Strong, and Aluminum
With 5mm of solid aluminum casing surrounding the disk inside, the P'9233 keeps your data solidly protected. LaCie and Porsche Design worked together to combine form and function–resulting in an improved hard drive.

Wow! Congratulations on your awesome purchase!
I'm killingly jealous! It's perfect for keeping all the video collections you've got safe.  ;D

I haven't been able to afford an update in a while- too many other pressing expenses.  :blownose:

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short.
But shout it at them in German, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

I wanted something hefty AND big (sounds dirty LOL ) - but it is surprisingly quite compact and light but is tough as nails! Plus its quite fast - i'm currently transferring 2.5 tb on to it.. looks like it will be done in a few hours.. considering it is 2.5 tb all at once, it is pretty fast

Sounds like a really good purchase. At least I know what to get once I've saved up enough.
Right now though, it's so hard to get new vids while deleting older ones. I think I've become somewhat of a porn hoarder!  :afr:

I seem to have WD My Passports all over the place depending on what and for whom. I keep a 1TB handy for stuff I want to upload for the folks and burn to disc for them. (Yes they still watch dvds)

I have a cpl of 4TBS that I have of TV series. IE Broadchurch. Line of Duty, Happy Valley, A Place to Call Home and the like.

Another which is all Broadway/theatre related.

Two which are porn/for educational purposes. 🙂

I'll have to take a look at what you are driving these days. Have fun with it. 🙂

Actually The passports were my 2nd choice - based on good reputation, but i got suckered in by the look of this lol

I plan on doing similar with some older ones I have - use them as non connected back up etc

Most of my torrents & personnal pictures are in an external Lacie HD too.
Mine is almost 10 years old and still silent & reliable.

You can't beat them for portability(is that a word?) and transferability (another word?) and the size(smaller than a wallet). But I guess it is whatever one gets use to. They work well with my iMac and stared with the external hard drive years ago without an issue.

Will be interested to hear how you get on wit your device with time. 🙂

Mine is a larger one, but yes, once I use it awhile I will invest in the smaller ones so i can take stuff with me 🙂
