I'm only be allowed one download at a time, it says, but I can't download at all

My ratio is 0.495
I have always this orange box which says:
Your download rights are taken!
To fix your ratio, seed your downloads, upload new files or consider donating
Until your ratio has been fixed, you will only be allowed to download one file at a time. Make sure you read the Rules/FAQBut I cannot download anything at all. If I try to download a file I get a message says "Download failed!".
I am improving my ratio gradually but it would be nice if I could "download one file at a time" as I've been told I will ba able to do.

Thank you for your response. To clarify does that mean that with a lower ratio than 0.6 with my current statistics I cannot download anything at all?

You will be able to download freelech torrents. For mor details click Your "ratio" button (next to bonus).

Past a certain point, you won't be able to download anything until you fix your ratio. I'm NOT sure but maybe you can still download some freeleech content? Seeding that will help you get your ratio back up.
Also, have you uploaded anything at all? You can claim a 600 seed point bonus for your first upload. Just be sure to claim it. That should help you fix your ratio.

Even with no download rights, you can still download freeleech torrents, but you can only download one at a time.

- Based on your ratio you can download 1 FREELEACH torrent every 24 hours. When you improve your ratio by uploading enough content (or donating) you'll be able to download much more files every 24 hours.
- And as @brianboru72 already said, when you upload your first file you can claim 600 SeedPoints for it. For each 600 SeedPoints that you redeem, it's like you already uploaded 10 GB of space (you can exchange these points on the fly into traffic, gaytorrent.ru take off the points and you receive the traffic).

I wasn't looking at the date so I apologise but since I already wrote my post I believe it won't hurt anyone to read it (especially those who are beginners)
