Hi all, Anyone knows any video cutter or joiner that capable of doing the job for very big sized and high-quality videos without loosing the quality. AVI, MP4 or MKV formats videos. Thanks.

I don't think you want a cutter/splitter - that sounds so 1990s usenet where we did actually cut and split movies.

Strikes me you are looking for a video conversion program, of which there are many with as many different opinons or a video editor, which likewise.

Perhaps if you could explain in a little more detail what you want to do, we could all deluge you with our own particular choice. I use different programs for different things.

DVD > mp4 ; overlarge mkv/avi > to sensible size; conversion, but less so these days as I have a computer and a TV that will play most things without conversion

thank you for your reply.. i was looking for video trimmer. i wanted to remove the unwanted scene from the big movie and keep the scenes I prefer only. So that could help me to save some disk space. well I found some Softwares though but not so good enough. Those are bit slow and incapable of working on all formats. Thank you

These days I tend to go and buy another external hard disk when I need space…wait for a bargain in a sale.

If I want to do anything with movies I tend to use TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5, though they are on version 6 Version 6 now.

This is because I've used the product for ages and I'm used to it.

Wondershare Video Converter Pro has editing capabilities but I really use it for other stuff. These are both 'paid for' programs.

There are dozens of programs available. My advice is to try some, find one that does what you want simply and stick with that.

Not sure if  Windows Movie Makeris still around but I seem to remember it was a basic program. I think you have to get it as a package these days

Thanks again, TMPGE looks good to me. I will look forward to work with it. Basic editing will do for me.  🙂 🙂

I use MP4Tools on my mac…maybe not as advanced as you want, but it's a nice way to convert file formats mostly without re-encoding everything... http://www.emmgunn.com/mp4tools-home/
