Scream Queens Season Two, Kingdom Season Three
-
Taylor Lautner has replaced previous ab master Nick Jonas as the main hunk in this over the top mockery of the teen horror genre, but whether there is any kind of overtly gay plot element the way there was last year is not something I know because I am in no hurry to find out. Maybe others will say.
Lautner, best known for his werewolf role in the Twilight saga, is certainly lovely to look at, and some of us think he actually can act, but there's also lots of interest in when or whether he will come out. There are certainly lots of rumors, more than the usual amount of ambiguous evidence, and a general presumption that, as usual, may simply be wishes from men who would never have a chance with him whatever his orientation.
The main characters of interest otherwise are Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis who take mean girl bitchiness to new levels of black comedy.
Nick Jonas, the closeted gay Mixed Martial Arts fighter in a family of tough MMA competitors presumably will more fully explore his character's sexual issues this season. Long as he takes his shirt off and maybe shows his butt more often, that's all fine with me. The series if fairly gritty and tends to dwell on the more dangerous aspects of Venice, CA, a splendid little beach town next to Santa Monica that shows up in an awful lot of Los Angeles-based television productions from NCIS-LA to the current Lucifer and Major Crimes, an ongoing cop drama with a gay teenager as a regular part of the mix. As such, at least part of the environs may be recognizable to regular TV watchers, at least on those occasions where the action moves outside the sweaty brutality of cage matches and caged lives.

Not sure if you would get more of a response in the "Theme TV" section than here?

I personally hate Scream Queens. It looked promising but ended up being so boring
-
That one scene between Dr Brock and Chad in Scream Queens S2E2 was pretty mouthwatering though

The show is fun. This season is full of the same gay overtones as last season but it's a Ryan Murphy show so what so you expect? The John Stamos shower scenes have been fun!
