Problem Downloading Torrents
-
Hello!
I have a problem when I try to download torrents. Sometimes, they just won't start. I check them on the site and have active seeds, but they just don't want to start downloading. They might activate at random if I leave them on, or usually if I stop them, wait 5 or 10 minutes and start them again, they download. If they don't, rinse and repeat.
I usually only download Freeleech, since my internet connection is pretty lame and I've been with a bad ratio for a long time. I usually leave my computer on at night downloading and sharing a ton of these files, trying to raise up my ratio.
It's been a while since I started having this problem, but today it got me angry :S
Today, after a few months, I got over my ratio limit and recovered my download rights. But since some downloads didn't properly start, and decided to go on hours later than I put them, it started downloading when it wasn't freeleech anymore, so I'm actually on a bad ratio… again.
Is there any solution to this? It's quite annoying, this set me weeks back on my ratio issue

That sounds as if your BitComet is not connectible. Consult its help pages for information who to set it up to become connectible, e.g; set UPnP on in both BitComet and your modem router. You need as well an exception for incoming connections in your firewall(s) on the port BitComet is said to use in its connection setting.

I've found the option to activate UPNP, and I already had the firewall exception done. Let's hope that the UPNP thingy helps. Thanks for the tip
