I'm downloading this torrent but the ratio differences between the info page and my bitorrent client are enormous:  :afr2:

My bittorrent client is Transmission 2.84. What's the problem?

When you compare the data you see in your Profile on active torrents, you can compare them only to the delta of the values in BitTorrent (or other torrent clients) between starting down- or upload and the moment after an announce of that torrent.

You see the announce time as a count down on each torrent in the lower BitTorrent window part under the "Trackers" tab as "update in". Normally that is every 30 minutes, where each torrent runs on its own schedule (though if you start BitTorrent and it starts all the torrents at once, each schedule is about the same).

That is because the information in the Profile and in the bit torrent client don't express the same thing. Your client counts all time up- and download since the torrent was added to it. The information in your Profile shows live data from the registered announces (as said they happens usually in 30 minutes intervals) currently active torrents from the moment they went active (started in your client) until now. Each time the torrent is stopped, queued or paused too long, the client (your BitTorrent) or computer shut down or the tracker restarted. The concerned torrents are removed from the tracking list, means restart at zero. Each time the client announce a torrents upload and download, the delta to the previous announced up-and download is added to the account's total up- and downoad, so the grand totals are every time.

Please have attention to the emphasis put on active torrents and delta while active.

Aside each forum post, in your Profile (lick on your name in "Welcome back, …") and in the middle below the blue menu bar. At this moment:

            Uploaded: 21.16 TB
            Downloaded: 4.67 TB

These are high absolute values, the lowest indicated value change of 0.01 TB is about 10 GB (these are actually TiB and GiB).

You can compare delta per active torrent, where lower changes are visible, but you have to make sure the torrent was active all the period and to take delta only in both your Profile and the BitTorrent client.
