Unable to download for a week now…
-
Good day. So ive noticed most of my torrents from GayTorrent.ru has been stuck on Finding Peers. Ive tried downloading new torrents, which is still, to no avail. Im using BitTorrent 7.9.2 I dont have any other issues downloading from TPB or other sides, they go through like a breeze. Im not sure if this would be relevant, but I did exchange 200 points for Option 2. I have Win 7 Premium. I havent had any issue downloading up until a week ago. I see numbers on my Torrent Seeds, so im guessing its connected somehow. Just nothing getting downloaded on my side. Any inputs? Thank you very much
PS: I have tried updating my Java file as well to the Java 8 version as of April 14, 2015. Still no different. Stuck on Finding Peers. Ill see if theres a change tomorrow. Thanks!

Your client appears to seed 4 torrents registered by the tracker. So connection to the tracker on these 4 is possible.
Java versions concerns only Vuze, because Vuze is written in Java and uses hat runtime environment. so it doesn't concern your BitTorrent.
Your share ratio is above the minimum and will allow connection to the tracker to get peers to download.
Can you check if the torrents are started and not only queued. Simply make sure they are started by right mouse button click and selecting "Force start" from the drop down list in BitTorrent.
Then if still says "Finding peers" look in the details view in the lower BitTorrent window part under the "Trackers" tab, the line with the tracker announce URL for the status. Can you report what is says there?
You can as well compare the tracker announce URL with the one given in the Profile, especially the long sequence of numbers and letters before "/announce". That is your private secrete passkey, don't publish it here.
It would as well be of interest if you are using a proxy or VPN and if the seeding torrents use https://… or http:// in their tracker announce URL.

Yes, thats the first thing I do is Forced Start. Also, im using a VPN (BTGuard), and the status on the tracker shows: Proxy connect error: offline (timed out) so I guess that might be the issue…
The one on my BitTorrent has the https:// compared to my Profile. And they are not the same as well. Might that be the cause?
This is what is on my BT: https://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/ :cens:/announce
-
Just to be sure, you use the VPN of BT Guard or their proxy? If you use their proxy, you will have configured that in BitTorrent's connection settings.
If proxy, that will cause the issue and I can propose a solution. If VPN, that "should" not be the cause, but the proxy solution might help, too.
That is longer than a week ago, but the tracking was changed to secure http (https://) by default and the server's secure connections options limited. Https tracking causes issues with proxy services and the solution is to disable https tracker in your Profile settings. Go to your Profile in the blue menu band, there deselect "SSL Tracker [ ] (Uncheck to Turn off SSL Announce Urls)"
Then the tracker URL of new downloaded torrents will start "http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:2170/…" (http without "s" and with added ":2710"). For torrents already loaded, you can edit their properties in BitTorrent or just redownload them again from gaytorrent.ru
If you use BT Guard proxy, the connection to the proxy is secured by BT Guard's prowy connection settings.

Im using the proxy and have configured it. I dont remember finding any connection issues from GT.ru before. It just suddenly stopped downloading couple of weeks ago. I also unchecked the SSL Tracker. Ive read most of the threads about people not being able to download on here. Have tried to apply some of what they did. Just having no luck. I also deleted the torrent from BT and refreshed it with the link. Still no cigar. Tried to download a recent torrent as well, still no luck. On the Status, its showing Proxy connect error: offline (timed out).
Im sorry if im taking too much of your time. And I really appreciate you trying to help me out as well. ^_^
PS: Well, it just started working now. The recent torrent I decided to download, went through after like 5 minutes. So I went back on the old torrents I clicked before, redownload the torrent, and theyre all working perfectly now. Maybe it was the SSL Tracker that stumped me. All I had to do afterwards was just delete the current download, the torrent, and redownload a new torrent.

Good to see it works now for you

Thank you Popper

Same problem. Finding Peers. from 2015,05,24
utorrent -
Can you look at the torrent's details in the lower µTorrent window part for the status in the line with the tracker announce URL and tell what it says there?
There was no change made to my knowledge to the tracker (running since 22+ days), did you change something on your computer (security software, firewall, …) or internet connection (ISP, modem router, ...)?
-
status.. bad ratio: ratio 1.147 (to many torrents you current limit is 15 at the same time)
router, internet connection. software is same..
From another tracker downloading perfect. Problem only from gaytorrent.ru -
Thanks. So your µTorrent can connect to the tracker and gets that message back. (Means it is a different issue than the topic opener's).
I can't see your µTorrent seeding or downloading any torrent right now. When your µTorrent is running and some torrents from GayTorrent.ru are started, please have a look to the numbers next to the green up and down arrows after "Welcome back, …" top left below the blue menu bar. What are the up and down numbers there?
-
please see screen. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/101383902/torrent.png
Maybe You Can connect by teamwiwer? -
Can you have a look to those seeding from GayTorrent.ru if there are any which have selected to download only a fart of the files in the torrent's file list?
Or if next to your name in "Welcome back, …" left from the down arrow on GayTorrent.ru is a number other than zero, please?
A last question: Does your µTorrent run all the time 24/7 ?
There was recently another similar case and while I know a fix, it would be good the SysOps could have a look, because it might be a more general issue... and then you running all time would help.
