And ABC & The Human League, the 2 most underrated bands in existence.
-
ABC's debut 'The Lexicon of Love' is great, but far more dredged in the New Romantic excesses of the era than New Order, which pretty much set the direction for electronic dance music for the next decade.

The Lexicon of Love is my desert island album. That being said I would not argue that ABC are a better band then New Order. I was just adding them to the list of the cool synth pop of the 80s. I stand by my original statement ABC & The Human League are 2 of the most underrated bands in existence.
If you like ABC, The Human League and/or Cabaret Voltaire there's a great documentary called Made in Sheffield about the Sheffield music scene late 70s to early 80s.

Substance Sides (if I remember correctly) was only available on cassette at the time & is comprised of the b-sides of the singles on Substance 1987. Basically, a lot of instrumental (or dub) versions of most of the tracks.
I am fairly certain it was a cassette only release because I hated buying cassettes but I bought it.

thank you for the explanation. and no, do not have that one. only the regular studio albums by any acts around joy division… even "the other two" and such! lol
... and peter hook is kewl coz hes hooking me in a hooked up way lol :anal2:![](https://www.gaytorrent.ru/bitbucket/Peter Woodhead.jpg)

Peter Hook bugs my ass, I know according to him it's Bernard that is the issue but in my heart of hearts I sense the reason he is no longer a part of New Order is himself.
That said, I do have a Revenge 12" I always secretly hope will turn out to having been an investment.
-
i can imagine he can be a pain in the ass… but i always admired the rebellious, complicated, and even annoying kind of people. i don't know... it's just strange to see neworder without the bass player...
-
No stranger, I think, than seeing only 1 member of Joy Division do a full tour of a Joy Division album.
That being said Hook's distinctive bass sound is one of the components that make the New Order sound.
It's a shame these 2 individuals can't make nice for the millions of fans.
