@blablarg18 said in NPR plunges, & one of its alumni admits why:
Maher (NPR CEO) tags USA First Amendment as her opponent. Yup.

"The number one challenge here we see, is of course the First Amendment in the United States. It is a fairly robust protection of rights...it is very important that platforms [ed: large corporations] have those rights to be able to regulate [speech on their platform]...but it also means that it is a little bit tricky to really address some of [our] challenges..."
Again - so perfect! What a stereotypical lib!
@zullu If you hate 1st Amendment like Maher & NPR do: Sorry.... but, if true, that would just plain make you an asshole.
Without Free Speech - absolute - unfettered - there is no democracy.
Only dictatorship of "platforms" ie. the wealthy & powerful.
but Elon Musk loves 1st Amendment - For sure, you can use it to criticize him - all you want. Go for it. Do it on X/twitter. You don't even have to thank him.
If it were up to current Americans we would be devastated, but thanks to the Biden administration we will have a fresh stream of new people of all colors ready for change and to make a big blue wave spread across all the states. And when we get enough seats, we will have to end the first amendment and double the seats on the supreme court with women of color mainly, we need to do everything possible to maintain democracy.
