Have you tried Orbit Downloader? Its a download manager that also has an application called "Grab++" that can grab videos from any flash-based player. I use it and had no problems so far. If you need help using it let me know

normally , when you watch / or play a flv movie on a web-site , a file will be also stored on your computer in the tmp-folder of your browser .
if you use the IE , rightclick on IE , then go on properties >>browser history >> settings >>all files files
or use the search function on your computer for the folder :
temporary internet files
the only thing you have to do , is search in that folder for all *.flv-files and copy them into another folder, before you close your browser and all those tmp-files will be deleted . If you dont know how to convert this flv file into a reular avi file , use a FLV-player to watch you movie, whenever you want -
the only thing you have to do , is search in that folder for all *.flv-files and copy them into another folder,
As stated, make sure you use "COPY" not "cut" otherwise you will get access/permission errors.

hm.. are u shure about that..
i dont think it is working .
I've played the whole movie with IE and then I looked in the temp folder for the flv file.. but it was not there.. there was just a cookie file -
The site might be running the videos directly instead of allowing them to download to your computer.
-
yep.. probably that's the case..
any other ideas for getting that flv ??? -
hm.. are u shure about that..

I've played the whole movie with IE and then I looked in the temp folder for the flv file.. but it was not there.. there was just a cookie fileyou have to keep your IE7 open otherwise , those files will be deleted when you shut down the IE7 . Or you change the settings of your IE7 that those temp-files will be kept . As those flv files are mostly coded with letters and number comination, the best thing is, to open up your IE >> select your link ( URL ) and then after the internetpage was loaded, look for the flv-files in your tmp folder .
if those " videos" on this internetside are played and opend with the flash-player,you have to change the settings of your plash-player . In order to get the menue for the settings , rightclick on the shown movie whilst being played . in there just activate the
"store " and then go through all above mentioned procedure with the temp-files
good luck -
yep.. probably that's the case..
any other ideas for getting that flv ???i just checked this side " angryyoungman.com" . Shown videos are played with the Adobe Flash player .
So the only thing you have to do in order that those flv-files ( Flash files ) will be temporarily stored in the temp folder of the IE/ , you have to rightclick and the shown movie window and select in the menue of Adobe Flash Player " settings " . in the new window just activate " store "
you may also do all settings thru the webside of adobe flash player ….. after you have installed/updated to the latest version , go in the left column on settings and select there your choice .
Hope my translateion from german was good enough to be understood -
those "demo" movies on the front pages are played in Flash Player.. but inside, for the bigger movies, they use some kind of embed player.. like youtube player and there isn't that kind of controls of the player you are talking about.. see screenshot here:
hXXp://www.vlascone.com/angry.JPGP.S. There is some problem with the attachments here.. I couldn't attach the picture , says it is too big , but it is only 80 K
EDIT: disabled live link

P.S. There is some problem with the attachments here.. I couldn't attach the picture , says it is too big , but it is only 80 K Undecided
Hmm. I could have sworn that was set to 192kb.

I have successfully downloaded flv movies from various websites but I am using firefox. It gives u the option of installing and uninstalling numerous add-ons very easily.
The addons I am using are:
firstly 'Fast Video Download' and if it doesnt work I try 'UnPlug' which works most of the times. If all these fail my last resort is 'CacheViewer' which allows you to browse the firefox cache files and save the files you want. With the cacheviewer sometimes i have to wait until the whole movie loads before it shows on the cache.
Hope it helped.

There's also Video DownloadHelper 3.2, this FireFox extension has been working out nicely for me.

i'm using firefox 3 and the add on that i have successfully used in downloading flv files is DownloadHelper.
i'm not sure if it works on the site that you want but so far, it has worked on the sites that i've used it in.

Forget add-ons. Firefox has a built in function:
Tools–> Page Info--> Media --> Select the .flv file and save as.

Hi There!
Try Tube Hunter Ultra V2.0. Works perfect with all video sharing sites that I use.

try installing and configuring realplayer. it has a feature built in to download videos streaming on sites. it saves them all the time for me. then the videos, although most often flv's are SUPPOSED to be played in another player, Realplayer plays them back with no issues. Just a suggestion and afterall it's free to try.
