im not sure where to post it but i thought here will be best.
I noticed there is a few hidden cam torrent, but it was assgined under Hunk. I thought it would be nice to have their own section. Anyone agree?
Amend: forgot to add few things, i just noticed while using search, they are assigned as Hunk, Military, Clips, Fetish.
it too shatter out in the sections and hard to find some torrent that really hidden cam. So adding this section will ease the searching and put all in one area.
I know there is some torrent that didnt included hidden cam in the title or description.
cumeaternc edit: You will be happy to know that we now have a Voyeur Torrent Category!

If you would like to request a site feature, please post it/them in this thread.
To make it easier for the staff to find and discuss site feature requests, we are asking that you post them here so we can find them easily.
Please do not use this thread to report bugs as there are other places/threads for that.
You are encouraged to discuss any feature request made.

Hello guys! First of all I would like to congratulate you for your job, I am loving it! Thank you very much for this!
I was trying to search for Bo Ladd's (live links are not allowed, but if you don't know him - or would like to see him anyways lol - type bo ladd in google and hit "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. w00f!) movies, but the search returns weird random things, like movies with _ladd_ers or _bo_ots. Ok, nothing wrong with boots lol, but that was not my goal.
So, I am here to suggest you a very little handy option in the search form: search full terms.
Thank you very much in advance!
Wet kisses and warm hugs from Brazil!
(by the way, sorry for my english typos! :P)

I request that this site host torrents with two different file extensions. My ISP has recently blocked the download of any file ending in a .torrent extension, although torrent traffic isn't affected. There are workarounds for public trackers, but private trackers such as this cannot use these services due to the login requirement.
Another member pointed out that other private trackers commonly host torrent files in a .txt extension to get around this kind of filtering. Since it doesn't seem horribly difficult to implement this solution, I request that all uploaded torrents have a second download link pointing to a copy of the file that the server has renamed to a .txt extension. This should provide a simple bypass for ISPs that have begun filtering downloads by file type.
This request comes from this thread in the support section.

So I just finished looking at all of the banners for the banner contest (it doesn't look like the contest is over yet, but oh well…) and I was thinking: No matter how the voting goes (or which way the votes went for past tense), why not use most or all of the banners randomly whenever a page is accessed? pouet .net, for instance, uses random banners at the top of their screen. It displays a different banner each time you access a page. Additionally, the users' names are on each banner giving credit at all times thus promoting the diverse creativity of all of the artists and maybe even adding to their network of clients!Â
 Just a thought.

A blog for the front page where the "top members" or staff could post stuff and also a few reviews of recently uploaded torrents which could contain interesting stories, male celebrities, Hot gay porn stars, etc
-
My suggestion is to make torrent pages work like wikipedia, letting the community make changes to the entries, such as the categories, the photos, and even descriptions. There are lots of vids that have bad or inaccurate titles, they're miscategorized (by the way, the option to add a video to multiple categories would also be nice), and some don't have box covers or screengrabs that others may be able to upload (I'm not talking about eurocream vids). I think it would help sort things out and make things a lot easier to find.
Or an alternative would be to have some community volunteers who will work to clean up these entries as they get uploaded.
-
I think that a shoutbox would be nice for the home page (after login :P) ;D
What do you say? -
sounds like a good idea

what about editors choice, a few recommended movies with a review from off here

How about a wishlist/favourite torrents function?
There are many torrents that I come across when i browse the site that I would like to download in the future. Instead of loading my torrent program with tons of torrents that I may dowload, I bookmark the torrent page for future reference. BUT using bookmarks is quite messy.
I think it will be very handy to incorporate a function/menu, perhaps in the profile page, where we can store torrents.
Cheers

I love that idea.

The "new" tag for the forums should be gone. Mine has said "forum" for a while now.

when i go through the forum it would be nice if the tag NEW would disappear already after entering that item, not only after next visit of that thread. memorizing is not so easy for old brains.Try not to use your browsers back button when you go through threads but use the links in the top row like this one:
Gaytorrent.ru Forum > English Only > GayTorrents.ru Discussions
Each text field is a link to that corresponding part and then "new" item will be gone immeadiately after you have viewed a new topic.

Just saw this at another torrent site and thought it would work very well here.
Have a Recent Request (or recent forum hot topics) on the front page (after login, above the recent news) to draw attention to the forum (activities). More people would also be expose to answer the request.

Suggestion: Scheduled time for approvals
Today I uploaded a torrent for the site. Took 9 hours to get an approval, with no message of a problem, nothing.
I started at my office connection, with a high upload speed so I would have been able to seed the file really well. But I had to come home, so now I have it running on a much slower UL speed, still waiting for approval that finally came.
I am not complaining (OK, maybe a little) but the situation has me wondering if maybe the site should / could establish a posted schedule for when mods are available to approve torrents. If I had known a time I had to upload the torrent by to get approval for the daytime, I could have tried to make sure and hit that, or waited and not sent it in until I got home at night.
I understand that the mods have a lot of stuff they are doing behind the scenes, and it is all volunteer, and I do appreciate the work they do. I think approvals are a good idea, and keep the site cleaner and better for all. If approvals can only happen a few times a day, so be it. I just think it would be better to know, then sitting around constantly checking to see if a message has been received giving approval or corrections. It becomes distracting/preoccupying. We would be better able to schedule our computer time to maximize the seeding of our uploads if we had this knowledge.
I moved/copied this from an independent thread I had started about the issue, with some minor edits as needed. Didn't see this thread at the time, but I think it makes better sense here.

…
I'd love to have something like that (scheduled time for approval) or even better: approving 24/7, but…
Just to see some facts: At the time of this writing, we have 30 waiting torrents in our approval list of about 20 of them with open (not fulfilled) moderator requests. Besides that we have nearly 300 torrents for approval, wich are currently not seeded. So 300 more moderator requests (and torrent searches) are waiting for our moderators.
On the other side:Â We currently have a team of 13 moderators. Whoever read our moderator search thread knows: we expect from our mods to do work on the site hone hour daily. Take in account where our moderators live - around the world - we can't even manage to have a moderator online 24/7. Moderator Job is volunteer's work - not a paid job. We also expect (and accept) from all moderators they have a life outside of GT.ru too - with that knowledge: who will help us to establish a schedule for torrent approval???
Please also take in account there is more work to do than only torrent approval. We have a forum (which also is a fulltime job to mange and to answer), we have an online chat too, where moderators are nearly available 24/7, we have a help desk, we have to answer PMs and we try to have more support languages and and and...
If someone has a solution for this problem: please inform us admins, we'd like to know.
On the other side: there are lots of helpful threads and sections in the forum. There are Guides and "how to"s on the site. If everyone who uploaded a torrent at least had read our Upload Guide there would not be an overflowing queue with 300 not seeding torrents waiting for approval.
Again: If someone has a solution for this problem: please inform us admins, we'd like to know.

Actually, thiere is a rather simple solution to this. These are my thoughts, constructive criticism, and ideas- and is not to be taken negatively I hope. I love this site, and I think with some work it could be even better.
1- Management
I do not know what the back-end looks like, and it may be more difficult to program this than I think- however I am sure it would help immensely. If it is too difficult, then perhaps a new robust dynamic type of system can be implemented (Including a more feature-rich forum board, chat system, and user-interface). Surely, with the facebooks, gay.com's, and myspace's of the internet this is possible. On a side note with this- Membership is now by invite only with the exception of the first of the month, and there are ads (granted if you pay you can disable these)- but following a strategy say like Gay.com and possibly even charging to cover additional costs is necessary or can be considered. Perhaps even limit a certain ratio to people that do not pay (i.e. Gay.com only allows one chat-room be open to non paying subscribers).
a) Different queues, Labels, Tabs, whatever works
New torrent requests
Pending Mod Request
2, 5, or more "Good" up-loads without mod requests
Crawler designed to automatically weed out possible duplicates, and put that in a separate queue for review or discard
Currently not seedingThis surely would make it easier for putting priority for those of us who are below the needed auto-approval rate.
b) Times / Assigned-Tasks I agree heavily with this suggestion by geekguy, and to further it;
Assign a certain hour to each mod that they are needed to be on
Assign specific tasks to be performed during that hour at least
To answer your question, I would love to assist with assigning a schedule for torrent-approval!!!!!!!There are schedules for almost anything else- TV, Class, Church, Interviews, the gym, and now even membership. We all do these voluntarily.
2- Expiration
GT.ru already uses expiration for membership (i.e. you don't visit in 30 45 days or whichever you get an email etc.) Why not put an expiration on torrents that are "Waiting for mod requests" i.e. 7 days max. Then it will get automatically deleted and they will need to re-upload? The rest of us who have clean uploads should not have to wait in excess of 2 days and "Hope" that they are seeding for that long to get approved, and then when they turn off their pc for 2 minutes- that 2 minutes caused them to get a "Mod-request" so they are back to square one towards auto-approval.I have spent some considerable time in chat over the past 2 weeks, I know FOOF is always in there, and mainly only not available when he is asleep- but this doesn't help when you are not supposed to pm or chat asking for torrent-approval. Great for any other issues or GREAT chat, though
So using chat for torrent-approval after uploading does not seem to be a possible, viable solution for those of us frustrated about the length of time it has recently been taking. (There are more than just geekguy and myself)
If torrents were managed as well as the forums, I think people would be banging on the door to upload all the porn-torrents that the world has to offer and then some, including paying a small fee to access. Granted they are volunteers and I have become chummy with a few they are great…
3- "I agree…" and UNDERSTAND this up-load guide and TOS, etc.
There is that annoying number-key verification system in place here and everywhere, why not throw up a pop-up that has to have the upload guide etc. be downloaded, read, and agreed to prior to being allowed to up-load? Implement a 24-hour ban on not being able to up-load so they will maybe READ it?I personally had a little confusion with it myself when I began re-uploading recently after almost a year.
4- ASSIGN A NEW PERSON BUDDY SYSTEM
Were they referred? That is there buddy until x amount of good uploads
Would work for any newcomers as well -
Whew… soflsmurf is even wordier than I am. ;D
I'll admit to not quite understanding the shorthand of everything written, but here's my 2cents on some of what he posted.
Setting up a fee would be bad. Many would flee, and this would become more like a business model. I have posted in other threads scolding low-ratio complainers because they look at the site as if they are customers getting bad service, instead of members in a sharing community. Start charging, and more will look at it that way, and the admins will get more complaints. Personally, I want to be a friendly neighbor, not a customer.
"Assigning" mods to be handled delicately. Remember, Mods are volunteers. I am sure the powers-that-be have to be careful, because you can't treat mods like employees. They do what they can, and it sound like delays are caused by being overwhelmed (am I right??) Best suggestions would take burden off, not add work to. Maybe as part of a schedule, or instead of, there is a limit on the number of torrents added to the site per day? Once limit is reached, uploaders wait until the next day. That way the pile cannot get too big.
When I suggested a schedule, I was thinking more for the users to follow, to help the mods, not boss them around. Something like "if a torrent is uploaded by 12:00, it will be approved/rejected by 17:00." After 12:00, would fall to the next time deadline, like 24:00. In by 24:00, approved/rejected by 05:00. So, in that example, if I upload a torrent at 16:00, I should not expect approval or a mod message until 03:00, which is thirteen hours later. Mods could review anytime during then, and if they got things done faster, great. My complaint was not with the time it took to get approved per se, just that I had no way of knowing it was going to take so long. If I had known, I would be prepared for it, could plan for it, and not get frustrated. (times are examples only. pick whatever works best for mods' schedules)
Pop-up guide verification? I bet most would just click OK and move on, just like we do with software licence agreements and such. Adds a hassle for little real benefit, as far as I can see.
"Good" uploader designation - I think this is a good idea. I know right now we can ask to have automatic upload approval, but the post is written to clearly discourage asking (that's how it reads to me, anyway). I would think that problems of duplicate files are mostly with the first few uploads. If someone uploads say, 5 torrents with no problems/dupes, they get moved automatically to a good uploader designation, and don't need approval for more uploads. If a problem/dupe is found to happen with someone like this, they lose the privilege. Probably also has to be at least a "power user."
